Slow Fall is a Feature in Baldur's Gate 3. Features provide unique abilities that are inherent to a Character's Race, Class, Background selected. These may vary greatly, from allowing you to equip certain Weapons or pieces of Armor with Proficiency, to add your Proficiency Bonus to certain Saving Throws.

Crazy that they nerfed one of monk's most iconic features, and then left it bugged so it doesn't even work at all.

Absolute trash. Does not even work during exploration. This makes me realize how busted Thief subclass is in comparison. Always on fall resistance. Two bonus actions not limited to unarmed strikes and using a class resource.

Suppose I have this turned on and I'm about to jump off a high ground. It says above my cursor I'll get -5 HP and will fall prone. Does it mean that technically:
1. I can jump off and use Slow Fall as a reaction to counter the effects, not losing HP and not falling prone at all; or
2. The alleged benefits of Slow Fall are already counted in by the tooltip, meaning that it only reduces the damage I would normally get (let's say - halves it) and indeed I will get -5 HP and will fall prone?
