You mean that at level 12 I get to do the exact same thing that I do at level 2, with less reward, more risk and more talents needed to make it work? WOW..................

This is a great ability with the big downside being that it's only available AT warlock level 12, which means you have to waste a feat getting heavy armor proficency if you want to be a melee character that isn't relying on dexterity for the AC.

This is ass. It should be at a lower level. Not worth it at level 12.

Does this work with melee damage from spells cast with daredevil proximity?

people keep saying this is worse than smite when it isn't, lets say you go warlock 5/paladin7, your smites will only 36 on average, using your 2 warlock spell slots. While this is better than Lifedrinker, thats your warlock spell slots gone for that encounter. Now, your damage drops down to 27 using your next highest level slots, assuming 2 attacks hit, which is worse. You have no way to summon undead with weapons for aura of hate to affect others, and, mind you, aura of hate can affect enemies. This, does not have that downside. Aura of hate specifically requires them to be holding a weapon as well. This has none of those downsides and uses no resources, and outdamages smite on average, and before you claim smite is better because crits, yeah, ofc anything that can crit is going to be better than most other things. If you want to argue that crits make smite better, than you might as well argue that tempest cleric with lightning bolt scrolls is better, since they can do a 97 damage on a failed lightning bolt save, guaranteed because of their ability to maximize lightning damage. Smite uses a resource, and does worse average damage than this does very quickly. Unless your eating your short rests after every encounter you'll quickly run out of supplies and be unable to rest anymore. If you actually wanted to optimize smite in this, just go a paladin 2/sorcerer 10. You get more spell slots, meta magic, and decent buffs spells like haste. This is especailly good if you get something like an arcane synergy item which adds your spell casting modifier to your weapon damage when you apply any buff or debuff, just hasten yourself and run in and smite.

The main advantage to this over smite is that it's free. Every melee attack made (including bonus actions) you get a +5, on top of your other modifiers. At level 12 that means your doing +10 damage per hit, +20 damage from two hits, +30 if you get a bonus action attack in also. Pretty big damage.

8 levels of oath breaker gets you this and a lot more, maybe just go pal 8/warlock 4 instead.

I'm assuming this double dips with the base Blade pactboon feature? So a 20 in CHA would give you +10 before weapon bonuses and feats?

An extra +5 on each weapon hit is probably better than going multiclassing a Pact of the Blade Warlock.

Its not even close to being as good as some paladin levels for smites.
Why would you get thie over aura of hate as oathbreaker which takes 7 lvs in an armored class?
