Elemental Affinity: Resistance is a Feature in Baldur's Gate 3. Features provide unique abilities that are inherent to a Character's Race, Class, Background selected. These may vary greatly, from allowing you to equip certain Weapons or pieces of Armor with Proficiency, to add your Proficiency Bonus to certain Saving Throws.

But dragonborn and tiefling have resistance at home
I'd rather just be able if turn into a medium dragon like in the last edition, unless your coming here for the health dragonborn looks like a bad option for chasing their draconian ancestry
Best going with a separate ancestry, or keeping some random elemental spell on you like chromatic

I hate that it's like this in 5e and BG3, it's stupid to have to waste your reaction and a sorc point to gain resistance, it's pretty much telling you to play dragonborn or go **** yourself, I hate it so much

really disappointing that this isn't just a passive and you have to spend a sorcery point to gain it.
You guys don't understand how OP red dragon ancestry sorcerer is with this in addition to heat mechanic and elemental adept: fire.
