Ok so the game does show what kind of save, but ONLY when you press inspect FROM the RADIAL wheel. Goading attack is ALSO a WIS save, but unlike menacing attack, the goad only lasts 1 turn, not 2! So that solves it, Menacing is better that Goading. I guess tho if you get both, you get more of it. But one turn? Not worth it compared to other options.

Casters usually sit back a good distance, but if your tank failed in shielding them, this will allow your caster to flee from a melee attacker that ran past you. Other Meneouver options include Disarming that melee attacker (unless its a creature), Tripping it prone, Menacing it frightened, but your best bet is Goading the enemy to make ist attacks have Disadvantage vs the caster it wants to attack. Maneouvering Attack isnt the best option in most cases.

Information is wrong. Manoeuvring attack can give your ally more speed
From GameRant:
"On a hit, Maneuvering Attack lets the Fighter select one friendly target, and restore half of their overall Movement Speed. When they move this turn, that friendly target will no longer cause Opportunity Attacks.
This ability can also be used on the Fighter themselves, allowing them to get out of a tricky situation with ease. This Battle Maneuver is best used to get weak allies out of melee range of enemies, though – spellcasters, for instance, have Disadvantage on enemies if they are too close, and have relatively low HP that makes them particularly vulnerable to Opportunity Attacks. Protect these companions by keeping them away from enemies safely with this maneuver."
