Unlike other battle master maneuvers, this one seems to eat the superiority die when you miss. Still good though.

If you're dual wielding melee, does this trigger dual attack?
I know it does with Sentinel and Mage Slayer, and tbh it should because dual wielding is still weaker than Great Weapon

Does this work if you have a ranged weapon out when you are attacked? I know you can just swap back to a melee weapon after you're hit but it'd be nice to know for when you forget. I'd assume your ranged attack would have pretty poor accuracy too since they'd probably be next to you unless it's even more strong that I'm thinking and you can retaliate to ranged attacks that are flagged as melee like a glaive.

Also this is a toggle effect on the right of your screen. You need to manually activate it once you level up. I went through the game without noticing

Shouldn't it be [WEAPON_DMG]+1d8 instead of hardcoded [1d6+3]+1d8 ?
this ability misses like 90% of the time but when it hits, it hits hard
