coutnerspell is the obvious choice. I like warden of vitality (aura of vitality) in tabletop as post fight heal up, but with long rests basically free, it has less utility. A swords bard with spiritual weapon makes sense to use the bonus action without concentration.

Could someone clarify if Command is in magical secrets please? On the general Bard.page it says it is. Here it says it isn't.

This is what truly makes the bard the true jack-of-all-trades spellcaster in the game, allowing you to create a character that can reliably cast Haste (Arcane) + Warden of Vitality(Paladin)/Spirit Guardians(Cleric), plus some other spell of your choice.
Note that with the Moderately Armored feat a Lore Bard can become a solid tank at level 4. With Haste, Longstrider (Bard) + Crusher's Ring you have a tank who you can quickly and easily reposition to key areas of the battlefield. Spirit Guardians (Cleric) gives you a tank who can deal good AoE damage/slow regardless of what else he's doing just by being in the area, and Warden of Vitality (Paladin, ranged heal as bonus action) + Hellrider's Pride gloves (Blade Ward on heal target) + The Whisper Promise (Bless on heal target) gives you a healer/buffer.
It's basically the BG3 equivalent of the BG2 blade, a jack-of-all-trades character who does many things well (Melf's Minute Meteors + Offensive Spin for ranged whirlwind with max damage per hit except with 5 APR, traps, UAI+item abuse for tankiness and Poitions of Heroism, blanket THAC0/AC/MR buffs with Enhanced Bard Song).
Scythesong Immortal would be proud. This it boys, the College of Lore bard is on the map of scary BG3 subclasses.

Is it possible to change your magical secret spells on a level up?
So lets say as a college of lore bard at 6 I take fireball and haste.
Can i swap haste for a different magical secret spell when getting to level 7?

Most of this list is fine tbh, but the lack of Shield, Flame Blade, Flamestrike, and Destructive Wave are inexcusable. These abilities are in the game, and not even very exclusive or game breaking. Particularly Flame Blade would be a great way to pick up the spell on a Sorcerer or Warlock multiclass without having to be a Tiefling or put 3 levels in Druid and deal with all the particulars involved with that.

At class level 6, Lore bards get access to spells up to level 3 including Fireball and Call Lightning. At level 10, any bard subclass get access to the same spells, plus others up to level 5 EXCEPT for Fireball and Call Lightning. So the only way to get those is by going College of Lore.

Might be a little limited but those are some of my favorite spells in the game. Lore bards get haste, fireball and spirit weapon at level 6. Is it true that Jack of all Trades buffs counterspell ability checks?

Is it just me or did they entirely eliminate the point of magical secrets? It's supposed to let you learn any spell form any class. This is just pathetic, especially the 5th lvl spell selection

Not too impressed, at least they are unlocked at lvl 10 though

Is that all? Used to be fun in P&P to take Ranger or Paladin spells...
I was really hoping Aid would be available, because I'm doing a run without a cleric and Aid breaks summoning builds even wider open than they're already broken in this game. Sad and unfaithful to the 5e ability's access to every spell, but I suppose one can't have everything.
