Pact of the Chain Tips & Notes
- Imps deal more damage than Quasits, can poison enemies and has slightly more hit points.
- Imps and Quasit have resistance to all damage, the imp is also immune to poison.
- The Quasit can fear an enemy once per Short Rest.
- You can swap between familiars after you chose one.
- When you do a sneak attack, the Imp will only be able to attack once.
- The Imp is a great utility for luring enemies into favorable positions assuming it gets the highest initiative roll. You can get enemies to dash into melee range of the Imp then throw down some area spells from the shadows. Additionally, the Imp is completely immune to fire, so fireballs are ideal. Aside from that, the Imp can fly and go invisible which makes it really valuable for scouting.

Pact of Chain is great at lower levels. Problem is the summons don’t scale with late game items like the Blade and Tome pacts do. By that time you will much better spell slot summons. Wish there was lvl 10 improvement that ups HP and attack.

Does deepened pact of this give a second attack for every summon of the warlock or only the pact of the chain ones?

Take one level in wizard then take cheeky quality scroll and your own familiar for three familiars per short rest
You can still only have one at a time but some aid and mage armour helps their survivability

the imp can still only attack once with the deepened pact after the patch 1

Supposedly Patch#1 fixed the issue where the familiar was unable to attack a second time after level 5.

Eu estou sentindo mais falta de um característica especial do pacto das correntes, a parte de poder compartilhar a resistência a magia do imp, se ele estiver em um raio de 3 metros de seu mestre...

I'm a bit disappointed that sprite is not an option for pact of the chain. it makes more sense with the Archfey patron.

I genuinely don't understand why they didn't include a Pixie/Faerie as a Pact of the Chain summon.
The model is already in the game (The lantern fairy), but they just decided not to do it? Not even for Archfey Warlock?
Seems like a missed opportunity.

Not sure if anyone else is getting this bug; at level 5 you can multi attack with the pet, until you long rest at which point you have to dismiss the pet and re-summon it for it to have multi attack. IMO pact of the tome is way better as far as casting goes, sadly think this pact falls way behind the other two.
The Imp is so broken. You can go invisible, wait for a pack of enemies to have their backs turned to your hiding party, then attack with the imp. It's initiative is so high it almost always goes first. Meaning all the enemies are now frozen in place giving your party all the time they need to get in position and deal a devastating round of damage with advantage. I had to stop using the Imp this way because the game became so easy and boring.

My Fighter was rooted in place the last turn before an enemy turn. Frustrated at the situation he forgot about the Alchemist Fire in his backpack and opted to instead grab the friendly Quasit next to him one of my other characters had summoned and hurl it at said enemy. With Tavern Brawler, Throw Ring, and 18 Strength he delt 15 to enemy, which died, and the Quasit, who also "died" as well.
He figured this was the best possible outcome.

Why can't the Imp and Quasit interact with buttons and switches, move' light and medium objects, & use the shove and throw actions like Mage Hand?

Doesn't seem to scale much, kinda expected some higher level summons. I mean druid gets a dinosaur eventually, wizards and sorcerers get high level summon spells. This is just 9 levels of imp

Imp has high initiative, if you use invisibility and attack a group the imp will usually be first in line, then you can easily stealth attack with your characters.

Don't underestimate the utility of an Imp. Its ability to fly and be invisible make it really valuable for scouting. It's also a perfect companion in combat for enabling a rogue to constantly have advantage and thus sneak attacks. Just position your invisible imp engaged with your rogue's target.

Do these scale with your level at all, or are you going to eventually be level 12 with an almost useless 10 hp imp?

For the quasit's fear ability : 1 per short rest = 3 times a day, not 2.
Fear, rest, fear, rest, fear.

I really hope they add the pixie and pseudo dragon because if not what's the point of even wasting 3 levels into pact of chain? there's an item in game that lets you summon a named unique quasit so the whole subclass seems like waste :(

Will Psuedodragons be added to the Pact of the Chain come full release? Honestly id be kind of bumbed if not.
Very mixed opinion on this seems they don't hit hard without buffs but they can target preferred enemies with invisibility most the time an it's technically free, but they go down mean instantly at higher levels without some cheese to apply around these guys they're pretty squishy targets , good for stealth as well
