I tested this out today. It does impose disadvantage, but only on regular and opportunity attacks. Things like weapon actions, class actions, and smites all do not get disadvantage. Between that and this not doing anything to help with ranged attacks or spells... Yeah. It's basically useless.

It doesnt work even like that. It ends when the character that used it ends their turn. Its completely utterly useless. It does nothing.

The way it is currently working in the game is that the effect wears off when the entire turn order ends--so this is only useful if your character is acting early

This ability is not functioning post release on 8/6/2023. The superiority dice is taken and the animation goes off, but there is no disadvantage imposed on melee attackers.
I have been spending supreriority dices consistently on evasive footwork, i thought it was working until i reached the duergars and so far i have not dodge any single attack from these damn midgets. Useless.
