For some reason I don't get the choice to do anything with the spawn after the fight is over and I've decided what to have Astarion do.
The spawn on the platform are released and they run away, it even says battle commenced but it doesn't actually turn into a battle.

You can cheese the fight with Astarion if you dont want him to get captured: start the fight from a distance and let his group come to you without entering his arena (it will trigger the cutscene even midfight). Once Cazador is down you can then fight safely in his arena.

Let Astarion summon something before talking to Cazador and it won't join the fight. If the summon is beast master's animal companion, you can even make it walk through the entire field and use help on Astarion on the very first round

So as a Oath of the Ancients Paladin Main, a. Since releasing 7000 vampire spawn some of which literally hungry for 170 years to the World is a terrible idea and since vampires are a freak of the nature and are against the Oath of the Ancients, I went ahead and let Astarion go with the ascension. => Vampire Spawns died (they are literally UNDEAD!), living people safe, Astarion happy and OATH BROKEN //// b. Since other way around didn't work, I told Astarion to not go through with the Ascension => He released the Vampire Spawn to Underdark, told the 6 other Major Vampire Spawn to look after them for them to not hurt innocents and that Astarion will join them when Absolute is over => OATH BROKEN AGAIN.. I believe only keeping them imprisoned for eternity doesn't break your OATH. Yeah eternal damnation, torture of hunger and impsionment and all to 7000 innocent people that were turned into Vampire Spawn.. even dead would have been infinitely more forgiving.

I accidentally yeeted him off a cliff, in gas form, with the bard ranged ability. It was extremely funny.

Cast daylight on him before the battle and it will damage him for 20 every few seconds without starting encounter. You can wait till he is about to die, start conversation, and battle starts with him dead. Easy win.

Meh, it was kinda stupid the fight.
Overpowered him in two turns.

If you cast sunlight on the sarcophagus, it won’t aggro him, but he will lose 20hp every few seconds

Start the fight with silence and he wont drag Asterion to the back
Does anyone know what to do with the key to special secure vault № 3, located in the boss room?
