Sazza Dialogue Options

Sazza is being held prisoner at the Makeshift Prison in The Hollow, and Arka, a Tiefling is threatening her with a crossbow. You can persuade her not to kill the goblin. Your reactions and dialogue here will involve Arka.

  1. Shut up. Those words could be your last.
  2. Step between the crossbows and the goblin.
  3. Do nothing.

If you choose to step in between, Gale will approve. He will also have a story about a crossbow and a tavern once the conversation is complete,

Arka will then ask you to move.

  1. [INTIMIDATION] Lower the crossbow, or I'll deliver you right to your brother.
  2. [PERSUASION] No, shoot me. Should be easy, right?
  3. [PERSUASION] This won't avenge Kanon. It won't change anything.
  4. [DETECT THOUGHTS] Read the tiefling's thoughts.
  5. Step out of the way.

If you choose the 3rd option: Persuasion and succeed, Arka will agree with you.

If you choose the 4th option. Detect Thoughts and succeed you'll get the additional conversation option:

  1. What would Kanon think of you now?

Picking this option also leads to Arka agreeing with you.

Arka: Why do you care if a goblin lives or dies?

  1. Because she's not a practice target. She's a person.
  2. If she dies, she'll take everything she knows to the grave.
  3. A goblin prisoner. Her life isn't yours to take.
  4. Because vengeance eats people alive. You'll grant the goblins two victories this day.
  5. My reasons are my own.

Give a soft answer and Lae'zel and Wyll will disapprove, however, Shadowheart, Gale, and Karlach will approve.

Talk to Sazza to learn about True Soul Gut, a powerful goblin priestess that according to Sazza could heal almost any ailment. This will update the Remove the Parasite quest. Speak to Sazza again and she will continue to respond with hostility.

  1. I just saved your life. Show some gratitude.
  2. Who is this Absolute you're so fond of? Your god?

Eventually, she will urge you to let her out in exchange for a good word with her tribe.

  1. Deal. I'll get you out of there.
  2. Not a chance. You can rot in that cage.
  3. Leave.

Agree to free Sazza and Lae'zel and Wyll will disapprove, however, Karlach will approve.

Your interactions here will update your journal in: Find a Cure. Freeing her will give you an additional quest later on.

If you free Sazza from the grove, she will aggro with the rest of the nearby goblins in the sactum when you tell Minthara you intend to kill her then and there (even if you side with Sazza in the dialogue to save her life). If you want her to survive this and maintain the stealthy, systematic approach to eradicating the goblins, knock her out immediately before she sees you kill any of the others. If she does, she'll be flagged as a "witness", causing her to warn the rest of the camp after you long rest and she wakes up. When this happened on my first attempt she was still inside and hostile, and I am pretty sure nothing will remove the "witness" condition likely eliminating the possibility of keeping her alive and friendly. After knocking her out first thing and killing Minthara and the others, I rested and returned to find her e-aggroed in the main hall where she thanked me for saving her from the spider pit and was willing to share a little more information with a persuasion or intimidation check. You then have a dialogue option to attack her or leave. She will tell you she wont bother you anymore. I long rested again before killing Dror and when I returned she was gone. I am hoping this will lead to seeing her later.

I don't know if any1 else has run into this bug, but after leading her out the grove she just stands besides the stone door and won't run to the goblin camp.
Only way to fix this for me was picking her up and tossing her. That made her run to the camp

For some reason when you agree to free Sazza Karlach approves but when you talk to her afterward and say Stay close, I'll keep you safe Karlach dissapproves. Immediately afterward or if you dont talk to her Sazza initiates the same conversation with Karlach. In this instances she does not dissapprove. Does Karlach secretly have a thing for goblins?

Man, I'm so disappointed there was no sex scene with Sazza. Was really looking forward to boning that Goblin.

Sazza's life is directly tied to Minthara's state. Whether Minthara is knocked out, or killed, Sazza will die directly after the state registers for Minthara, meaning the achievement for saving Sazza is locked behind siding with the Goblins in Act 1. There are no ways around this, outside of turning off Sazza's death flag in something like Cheat Engine, which I suspect will bork a few things due to the potentially associated flag in Act 2, and Act 3 related to her. In essence, resign yourself to making a singular evil run to see the associated content of Minthara, and getting the 'chievo. The flag seems to trip even when you attack and KO/kill Minthara at the fight at the Druid's Grove as well as in the Goblin Camp. Leads me to believe that even if you KO Minthara, to potentially get her later, it won't work simply due to the nature of KO states and how they function so far as of release.

saved from grove and goblin camp, but she does not appear in moonrise towers. Could this be because i killed goblin leaders?
