The first Eye I encountered dropped a crystalline lens, the second I encountered (and I assume the vast majority will encounter them in the same order) did not even leave a corpse.
It has resistances to EVERYTHING with 3 exceptions: It is IMMUNE to Psychic and Poison, and it has WEAKNESS to Thunder. Yes, it is RESISTANT to LIGHTNING.

They have 8 HP. You need to pass an Arcana/Insight(?) check passively to get a/the special dialogue(s). The second you encounter has a different dialogue when reaching out, which I will not say here. But in case you missed it, it's fine. It's a bit cool and it's a bit lore and perhaps a bit further hint at the mystery of/behind it. I have absolutely no idea what repercussions reaching out has. I think whoever is on the other end may be slightly "inconvenienced" or curious to who this "meddler" is. But idk.

You can "Throw" these if your character has high enough strength.

If geography allows, it makes for an easy kill to throw it in a chasm.

I hit this with moonbeam and it kept making saves every 5 seconds while I took a break. It eventually died from taking 1 damage at a time. I then finished my turn and kept going. Felt cheap. Bugged?

          • Anonymous

This is bugged, ppl say its weak to thuinder magic, yes... it is vulnerable to it but i've tried using shocking grasp, lightning arrow, lightning bolt, and thunderwave dead 0 damage even when it was Lightning Vulnerability. The way I killed it took almost 10 turns trying to get lucky with my melee damage.
Im playing at tactician mode and this thing has an 'Ethereal Form' passive which reduces damage by 8. Also some resistances to other damages while also totally nullifying some elemental attacks.

            • Anonymous

You need to one shot it or it will become invulnerable, though I'm not sure of the last part but if you one shot it with a big attack or spell it will die

                It's weak to thunder magic.

I got stuck in combat with one and a bunch of friendly npcs.

Eventually examined it, had my Lae'zel escape combat, respec to Eldritch Knight to learn chromatic orb and thunderwave, and came back to hit it with thunderwave.

It took like 20 damage or something ridiculous.
