Oathbreaker Knight Notable Loot
- The Oathbreaker Knight's corpse cannot be looted unlike other corpses in the game. Instead, 3 javelins are dropped next to it.
- If the player has reclaimed their original Oath by paying 1000gp and the Oathbreaker Knight is killed, the gold paid will drop next to his corpse.
Oathbreaker Knight Notes and Tips
- The Oathbreaker Knight uses Divine Smite same as player Paladins, but does not appear to use any spells or subclass features.
- As of Patch 9, his greatsword cannot be looted.
- He has the second highest amount of health in the game out of any NPC that can be fought as of Patch 9, second only to Grym.
- Killing the Oathbreaker Knight does not break a Paladin's Oath.
- If the player chooses to fight the Oathbreaker Knight by attacking him in camp, all companions not already in the player's party will join the fight as non-controllable allies, making the fight easier.

I shoved Volo, bcs he deserves it. The Oatbreaker instantly attacked our lvl5 party...
He died quickly

After you kill him, if you wait until his dead body despawns then a pouch shows up in that spot that has a +1 greatsword and plate armor inside.
Killing him gives 640 xp

I dropped Dror Ragzlin's corpse in the middle of camp and the Oathbreaker Knight immediately aggro'd against the party, including the idle companions. I played with other corpses in camp before but he never batted an eye until then.

If for whatever reason you want to kill him but don't want everyone in your camp aggroing you, you can attack thaniel if you have him, this will cause the knight to aggro you and all of your companions to join your side. Scratch will also aggro you though, and there's only one way to end the fight...

cant seem to find this guy in act 3? stuck without channel oath

Out of curiosity I decided to fight the guy to see what happens, here's what happened:
Smacking him aggros the entire camp, including Withers, meaning that the fight itself could never actually end since Withers is immortal and can't be sent off.
OBK uses a +1 Greatsword, which you can actually pick up if you can get him to drop the weapon with Heat Metal. Doing so made him focus more on casting spells at first, but he eventually equipped one of his javelins (which are also the only items available if you try to pickpocket him) as a melee weapon.
His corpse immediately despawns after he dies, which leads me to believe there isn't a special interaction from his death atm, even if you skipped on Withers and killed the rest of the camp as well.
All in all, it ain't worth picking a fight with this guy whatsoever, the only tangible reward is the greatsword (which you can get from plenty other sources, some with added effects like the sussur bark one), and you need a very specific setup to even get it (don't have Withers in camp, be strong enough to kill him and all the camp residents, have him drop the sword with heat metal), and it presumably perma-locks your party's paladin to oathbreaker.
I am pretty curious to see if something special happens if you try this in the full release, and I do intend to try it again come august.
Let me romance him please god please please please
