ActionWild Shape Charge |
Wild Shape: Wolf is an Action in Baldur's Gate 3. Actions can be used in both exploration and combat to maneuver across the battlefield or to harm or aid Characters. The Actions that a Character can perform are based on their Class and Equipment. Wild Shape can be used in different situations both inside and outside of combat for various situations. The same can be said for Baldur's Gate 3, but naturally tailor-fit for the video game format. That being said, each transformation provides different uses and functions for a variety of situations. In the tabletop format, a Druid can stay in their Wild Shape form for a specific number of hours determined by half of the character's Druid levels (rounded down).

HOW TO USE WILD SHAPE: WOLF IN BG3
Unlocked at level two as a Druid, Wild Shape: Wolf allows the user to transform into a large wolf both inside and outside of combat engagements. Within combat, this transformation takes up an Action, unless the character uses it as Combat Wild Shape, learned only by the Druid Subclass Circle of the Moon, in which it's used as a Bonus Action instead. Mainly used in combat, the wolf transformation proves to be the most versatile of all, boasting high Strength, along with moderate other stats overall. It also so far has the highest speed out of all the available transformations in Early Access. Aside from this, however, the wolf transformation synergizes well with allies. Its Exposing Bite Action makes it so that any hits on the target afterward, from any of your allies, will be an automatic critical hit. In possible combination with this, its Inciting Howl Action increases allies' movement speed, allowing them to reach the now-exposed target with ease. While having superior movement, the wolf doesn't climb as well as the bear for example. Nevertheless, Wild Shape: Wolf seems to be very useful in its own right.
Wild Shape: Wolf Tips & Notes
- Wild Shape: Wolf will be considered a Bonus Action if you selected Combat Wild Shape (Circle of the Moon) and an Action if you selected Wild Shape (Circle of the Land).
- Wild Shape: Wolf grants the Bite action, a melee attack that does 2d6 + 3 Piercing damage (Note that in the current version hovering over this action will display a damage bonus based on your character's Strength modifier, however the damage is correctly calculated using the Wolf's Strength when attacking)
- Shadowheart's wolf-phobia will not trigger by Wild Shape: Wolf .
If I multiclass Rouge... Can the bite trigger a sneak attack and if I put 3 lvl Rouge (subclass Thief) do I get an extra bonus action in wolfshape.
