The existence of this ability is Larians way of telling you to multiclass Berserker (5 at the earliest, no later than 8)

A truly terrible class ability. A full action to fear a single target, and the save DC is based off the barbarian's charisma! Why would anyone want to use this instead of attacking recklessly twice (thrice if hasted)? Out of all the other changes Larian made, I don't understand why they didn't change this awful ability. (At least make it a multiple target fear, if it takes a full action!) If you're playing berserker, you absolutely should multiclass after level 9, if not earlier.

Does this use my charisma as a dc like it does in normal dnd?

Why spend an action to Fear an enemy when you can hit them twice? Maybe as a bonus aciton...
9 is better for multiclass since brutal critical id good if you have right gear
