Preserve Life Tips & Notes
- The amount of healed hit points depends on the Character's level, not Cleric's level.
- The Blessed Healer Class Feature will heal the caster for +2 HP per target hit with this, as it treats it as a Level 0 Spell.
Also counterintuitively to how it interacts with Blessed Healer, Preserve Life does NOT benefit from the Disciple of Life passive feature (when casting a healing spell, the target regains additional hit points equal to 2+ the spell's level). Preserve Life will heal for the exact amount specified (3hp * caster's level). Not sure why this is, as it really should be the reverse. Blessed Healer specifically says a "lv1 or higher healing spell" whereas Disciple of Life only specifies "a healing spell" (though both go on to mention scaling based on spell level, which Preserve Life doesn't have). If this isn't intended, then I assume it'll get patched eventually.
Interesting to note, it seems like the Blessed Healer feature treats this as a level 0 spell, as it heals you for +2hp for each ally you heal with it.

it seems scale with Character Level, not Cleric Level. With Lv4 Cleric it heals 12, then added a Druid level, it heals 15.

Does not work like the original ability. It can restore hit points equal 5 x your cleric level, but this ability can restore a creature to no more than half of its hit point maximum. Maybe it should have a single target option that works closer to the PnP version of D&D. This current version of Preserve Life just feels a bit underpowered.
Its funny that my 2lvl Paladin of Ancients can use Healing Radiance as bonus action and heal 7+7, and my 2lvl Life Cleric can use action and heal only 6!!
What a shame...
