Torch is one of the Simple Melee Weapons in Baldur's Gate 3.       Can confirm. I dual wielded them with Lae'zel, and was the best weapon for that until I got the blue quality single handed str weapons. Best thing is burning also increases the fire damage. Arguably overpowered.

        I do have a tip for this weapon.

        Light it on fire and it will dead an additional 1d4 dmg for an infinite amount of time, wich make it better than a longsword/shield build since his min dmg is 2 and max 8
