Bloodthirst is one of the Daggers in Baldur's Gate 3. Bloodthirst is the legendary dagger dropped by Orin, at the Bhaal Temple. In BG3, each type of weapon has different ranges, damages, and other features (Finesse, Versatile, Dippable, etc.). Characters need to master certain Proficiency before using a weapon, and sometimes gain special Actions while holding it.
The Lord of Murder wasn't always a lord. He was once just a petty killer. When Bhaal first drew blood in a Baldurian back-alley, it dropped to the ground and lingered. When he ascended, this dried blood-drop grew, warped - and became sharp

the rule of Exploit weakness.
1. you need to do damage with this weapon , if you hit but damage is 0 it not proc the effect.
2. not proc when throw
3. it reduce piercing armor by 1 level that mean
- no reduction to vulnerable (100% > 200%)
- resist to no resist (50% > 100%)
- vulnerable to vulnerable (200% > 200%) , not add double vulnerable
4. effect 1 turn , no stack

The weapon "Bloodthirst" does not exist. It's called "Blade of the First Blood".

The true strike on this weapon is a once per short reset version but uses bonus action instead. Pretty useful if your bonus action economy isn't too tight.

If you equip this in your main hand and throw it, does it correctly apply the piercing vulnerability?

Note that the +1 to AC listed on the weapon is grouped under the off-hand bonus, so you will not get the +1 AC if it's in your main hand.

Is Exploit Weakness bugged? I'm dual wielding with this in main hand and I don't see the piercing Vulnerability after hitting an enemy.

Does the reduced crit work for things like Eldritch Blast or a bow attack?
On it's own a pretty alright weapon, but downright balance shattering with the right party composition. Absolutely devastating with another character that has Sharpshooter and ways to get lots of extra attacks. Use a main hand strike to apply vulnerability, and then have the rest of the party combo with more piercing damage for easy boss kills. Also combos well with sneak attack, since that becomes the damage type of whatever weapon you use.
It may not work on everything since it is mitigated by resistance (just becomes regular damage instead), which many things have, but any moderately beefy single target without resistance will just melt at the might of your at-will double damage.
Not suitable for most parties, but very exploitable with the right coordination. Killed the final boss in one round because of this bad boy.
