Incandescent Staff is one of the Two-Handed Melee Weapons in Baldur's Gate 3. Incandescent Staff is a very rare quarterstaff that can be purchased from Quartermaster Talli, at the Last Light Inn, during Act 2. In BG3, each type of weapon has different ranges, damages, and other features (Finesse, Versatile, Dippable, etc.). Characters need to master certain Proficiency before using a weapon, and sometimes gain special Actions while holding it.

The firebolt cantrip that this staff provides is great and scales on main spellcasting ability making it a more viable cantrip for non-int spellcasters due to the higher hit chance.

Staff is strange. The fireball spell i had it as always known - and it basically expends a L3 spell slot as a bard (who has no fireball unless you use it as part of your magical secrets).
Then a day or so later it became once per long rest.
I thought, maybe it was a bug fix. But next character that reached that vendor, it once again always known.

Could you use this to give Shadowheart a Cantrip that scales off her Wis and doesn't fail every time, due to enemies dex saving? o:

Does it use Intelligence spell casting, or your classes spell casting?

Melfa first staff is better cause it also gives +1 to save attacks.
This staff is only worth it for the resistance. Or if you reaaally want that 1 fireball.

I think the + 1 is only for spell atk rolls and not for dmg.
