Shadow Blade is one of the Shortsword Weapons in Baldur's Gate 3. Shadow Blade is an enchanted blade that deals Psychic damage instead of slashing, it also gives you advantage against obscured targets. In BG3, each type of weapon has different ranges, damages, and other features (Finesse, Versatile, Dippable, etc.). Characters need to master certain Proficiency before using a weapon, and sometimes gain special Actions while holding it.

So, when you have the See Invisibility eye that Volo gives you, this weapon looks like a regular shortsword, with some pretty purple sparkles. I like the immersion and realism here, but dang it :(

Way of Shadow Monk can do decent DMG with the right *setup (see below)
• A) Shadow Strike + 1 attack action + 1 [Belm] bonus attack action: 148 -270+ DMG
• B) All the above w/ 18-20 Crit + Advantage from [Cloak of Cunning Brume]: 239-437+ DMG
*SETUP (all damage is psychic)
• Shadow Blade (obviously) - 2D8
• Shadow Strike (Shadow Monk) - 2D8+3D8
• Belm (off-hand): [Perfectly Balanced Strike] will use [Shadow Blade's] 2D8 damage
• Psionic Overload: +1D4 per attack for 3 turns
• Strange Conduit Ring: +1D4 while [Concentrating] per attack
• Elixir of Colossus: +1D4 per attack
• Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength: +7 per attack -- OR -- Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength for +9
• Savage Attacker feat: significantly higher damage average
• Linebreaker Boots: +2 for each [Dash] or use of [Step of the Wind] (up to +14) per attack
• Resonance Stone: DOUBLES ALL OF THE DMG ABOVE
• Cloak of Cunning Brume: gives Shadow Blade [Advantage] and easy use of Shadow Strike

Enlarge spell bumps it up another 15-40+ DMG per turn. A Fighter with 3 attack may potentially do better.
