Drake throat glaive frost + this +snow burst ring knocks enemies prone, they're then frightened which means they can't get up from prone, why would I tell you this? Well add volley from 11 Hunter and what you have is an AOE turn skip practically every round

If you push him into the water his corpse and loot wash onto the pier south of the Underdark Beach waypoint.

Might be fun as a stat stick for pact of the blade great old one warlocks. Since they frighten groups of enemies on a crit attack, getting the +1d4 bonus for your melee attacks might be worthwhile. I've run before with a heavy crit build (champion fighter/warlock, 17+ to crit, risky ring to give advantage, ends up with 36% crit rate, would be a touch lower (28%) without the Dead Shot. Still, at that point, you're frightening enemies on most rounds. Although probably better for that build to use dead shot for the extra crit, might be worth playing around with some.

The frighten effect on this bow appears to be bugged to stick at a DC of 12 even though the calculation shows it should take into consideration your spellcasting modifier and proficiency. Quite unfortunate because if this was working you could build a very powerful CC archer by act 2.

My trusty companion. The frightening effect saved my ass many times.

Any merchant type NPC you fight will still retain their store items if you just knock them unconscious. So when fighting him be sure to turn on non-lethal damage and then loot him for everything he sells including the gold. It's probably a carry over in the coding for pickpocketing.

If you don't fight the Duergar on the boat confrontation, you can purchase this from Corsair Greymon at Grymforge

Dropped by the head Duergar on the boat scene on the Ebonlake. He will only drop this while all other Duergar are still alive. If you push any of them off before you kill the main guy, his loot will change to a quarterstaff+1 instead.
Not sure if this is intended, but the spell save DC is fixed at 12 even though it says "DC: 8(Base DC) + 3(Charisma) + 3(Proficiency) = 12"
