Twist of Fortune is one of the Morningstar Weapons in Baldur's Gate 3. Twist of Fortune is a magical morningstar that rerolls low damage and can deal additional damage depending on the targets gold. In BG3, each type of weapon has different ranges, damages, and other features (Finesse, Versatile, Dippable, etc.). Characters need to master certain Proficiency before using a weapon, and sometimes gain special Actions while holding it.
They say rich folk are never truly happy: especially true when they're targeted with this morningstar.

minor spoiler, i guess, but don't carry this into the self-same trial in Shar's temple. just lost 6,400 gold because of it
I used a lot of times Blood Money before Patch 5 and since Patch 5 I think they "secretly" (they didn't mention either Twist of Fortune or Blood Money), they "fixed" the skill so (sadly) it now consumes the gold "used" for the skill as it is wtritten in the skill's description.

Ignoring the Blood Money feature, I wonder how well the Twist of Fortune feature in works with Savage Attacker.
I'd expect to optimize around multiple attacks, via Extra Attack, Haste/Potion of Speed, Elixir of Bloodlust, crits, and bonus action attacks (e.g. War Priest Charges).
We might be underselling this weapon by focusing only on Blood Money.

I've tested this out on the latest patch with reverse pickpocketing. If the target has no additional defenses that can reduce damage, it will take exactly 5 per 300. Tried with 60k and it was over 1000 damage. So theoretically, you can kill anything that has pockets like this. If the target is a merchant, the money disappears so be careful.

Deals 4 piercing damage per 300gp that the target is carrying. Tenacity deals damage equal to your Str Modifier in bludgeoning damage on a miss. Have +10, you deal 10 on a miss as a reaction. Have +5, deal 5. This damage is subject to resistance. Drops from Gerringothe Thorm: Accursed Keeper of Coins in the Tollhouse in Act 2. Cannot be stolen, is only dropped when killed or KO'd. I'd add the info, but editing the page does not seem to be possible. Additionally, Gerringothe Thorm does not have a page here on Fextra.
