The Baneful is one of the Shortsword Weapons in Baldur's Gate 3. The Baneful is an enchanted shortsword that has a chance of applying Bane to your target. In BG3, each type of weapon has different ranges, damages, and other features (Finesse, Versatile, Dippable, etc.). Characters need to master certain Proficiency before using a weapon, and sometimes gain special Actions while holding it.

A decent to very good melee weapon for Warlocks. An early +2 weapon, even if it's only got a 1d6 damage die, can be significant. I wish it was a AT LEAST a longsword instead of a shortsword since Warlocks don't benefit much (at all) from two-weapon fighting, and they automatically gain proficiency with whatever their pact weapon is...

Does anyone know if baneful bond proks with eldritch blast because it says on hit and doesn't specify with what
- Anonymous
Doesn't seem to count as a thrown weapon which means that despite this weapon being intended for Eldritch Knights, this is not optimal for a Tavern Brawler Eldritch Knight throwing build.
I just wanna know if you can stack Bond Weapon and Pact Weapon on it for double the effect
