if you attack the colony with "Im not scared, prepare to die" dialogue option, she will attack you too but can be knockdown, but next day she will tell youre tresspasing if you come close, you can still speak with her in invisibility

level 6 is the earliest you can get cloud giant strength from her. Also, Levelling up resets merchants, so you dont need to long rest spam. you can just reset your level to 1 with withers, level each time you buy from her and Blurg (he also sells fingers) and then go back to withers and reset the level again when done. Its far more efficient. then you just need a Medicine check based Wizard to double all your crafting. Easy 20+ cloud Giant elixirs in 30 mins. Just have 1 char camp Blurg, 1 camp Derryth

Giving Derryth the noblestalk is by far the best option. The inventory she sells in her shop in Act 3 has the best items in the game. She routinely sells Cloud Giant elixirs, as well as many other elixirs and most ingredients. If she didn't get the noblestalk, her inventory is very basic.

I've read somewhere that pickpocketing the noblestalk doesnt ruin her quest but the person who wrote that did not consider the shop in act 3 apparently just that you get the inspiration etc essentially misleading me. She acts like you never gave her the noblestalk and her shop is failing in act 3. So finding this out ages after act 1 is pissing me off, I'm trying to find a way with the cheat engine/console etc to fix this but spawning the quest item or the consumable noblestalk to derryth's inventory doesn't fix it. The only way I've managed to change anything was spawning the quest version in player's inventory, talking to derryth and giving her the noblestalk (shes still like gee thanks u still have a conscience after all) but it doesnt actually give the item to her, you have to reverse pickpocket to put it in her inventory then long sleep. THEN she has the stuff to sell but im looking for a way to make it work as you've given her the shroom in act 1 and shes not broke bc of it right now. So any help regarding this would be much apprecciated.

            • Note that at least as early as Level 7, if not sooner, you can buy Cloud Giant Fingernails from her shop in the Underdark (not sure if she still sells them in Baldur's Gate, though she probably does). Three of these make an Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength, which gives the imbiber 27 Strength until long rest.

You can also find her in the lower city of Baldurs Gate, located in a building across from sorcerous sundries.

Starting at level 6, both Elixir of Battlemage's Power and Gauth Eyestalks (which you can use to craft the elixir) get added to the pool of items Derryth can carry whenever her stock gets reset. (Note: I confirmed this while talking to her in the underdark, not at her shop)

                    ***SPOILERS***
I was trying to do an evil playthrough, gave her the Noblestalk and she keeps her Husband enslaved, making her living off his labour while verbally abusing him. (She slowed down his noggin.) But that's apparently the good ending because if you give him the Noblestalk, it turns out he is an abusive husband who hits animals. But she doesn't leave him.

Is Derryth insane? Or is the lesson that Derryth isn't capable of living in the world without someone looking after her? I don't know the lore of DnD, is marriage soul binding and you die if you divorce?

As a Rogue with Persuasion roll success (difficulty class 10), you can have her give you a Tarnished Ring for the Noblestalk, or take the Tarnished Ring and keep the Noblestalk.

Shadowheart will approve of the second choice.

If we don't give them the noblestack, are we still able to purchase 3 noblestacks from their shop in Baldur's Gate? Does the shop go broke or something if we don't give it? I really need their products ^^

                          Spoilers//

Derryth, while abrasive when you talk to her. Is an abuse victim, her husband would beat her, use their money on his drinking problems, and she's left taking care of the shop on the verge of closing because of his actions when his brain starts to deteriorate. If you give her the noblestalk, she is very grateful and tells you to come to their shop in baldurs gate. When you arrive she welcomes you, and you can buy 3 noblestalk at a discounted price ( 137 coins if you dont bother raising attitude ) along with any other items/potions/supplies in her inventory.

If you feel like snooping you can find letters/her diary upstairs regarding her past. She regrets marrying Baelen as he's been cruel to her, and wishes she married another man. If you go downstairs into the basement you can find Baelens workshop, you can find a bunch of supplies/potions to steal and more letters regarding his condition. You also find his diary admitting he wants to abandon his wife on the street, when his brain was still working.

you can give it to the guy and he gets his brain back, then tells you to find him in balder gate for a reward.
