Darkfire Shortbow is one of the Shortbow Weapons in Baldur's Gate 3. Darkfire Shortbow is a very useful bow that provides the user with resistance to fire and ice, it also can cast the spell Haste. In BG3, each type of weapon has different ranges, damages, and other features (Finesse, Versatile, Dippable, etc.). Characters need to master certain Proficiency before using a weapon, and sometimes gain special Actions while holding it.
This length of yew was polished in a lacquer made from the mingled, cooled, and refined breath of gold and silver dragon.

best bow in the game. you are unable to get if you side with the goblins in act 1.

On one hand, I feel like this is bad design. Like a drunk Larian dev slapped randomly powerful affixes on this act 2 bow with zero consideration for balance. On the other hand, there's something *joyous* about it for that reason. It is just batshit crazy to put this on a simple bow and they know it. Even though I do my best to avoid the overly powerful stuff Larian hands out so early in BG3, I felt compelled to buy this bow simply for the memes.
Best short bow for your warlock - you MUST invest 1200 gold (tactic)
You don't need this weapon as a weapon, use it as a REALLY GOOD ring.
1200 will give you :
- 50% elemental resistance (you can stack it with potion and skills like fire shield)
- MOST OP skill in this game - Haste with 10 (TEN!) turns before debuff
Just for an example my Bladelock Act 3: I deal 35-40 damage per crit hit as a blade lock I can hit twice per every action point, After investing 1200 gold you can use the Haste spell for free (it will cost you nothing, you don't need to drink something and you will get back suspended action right after the cast)
So simple math (my min-maxed blade lock (nerfed btw)) can tank fire and ice damage and deal at least 4x30 damage per turn for free in melee or 6x15 range EVERY TURN FREE, no concentration, no spell slots wasted, no potion, no scrolls, just a shiny bow
This bow should be a legendary item

Currently bugged and the spell is recharged if you travel between acts.

Who filled out this Information and didnßt include where to find it?

the haste is once per long rest, don't get too excited. still a very good item, the haste doesn't cost any spell slots, can be used by anyone including your fighters and swordbards

How to get it if you sided with the goblins and killed Dammon?

Absolutely busted. Even if the Haste spell was once per long rest, it's still worth buying just for that and the passive fire/ice resistance. And yet the spell can be casted at will without any cost? I think they forgot to put a "once per long rest" on it just as other items that give a spell
The name on the weapon image here in the wiki say darkfire crossbow for some reason
