the force aoe is wider than your melee range, can interrupt concentration, and strikes allies.

If you have force conduit above 4 stacks and get hit for 0 damage (with abjuration ward and heavy armor master) The AOE damage does not trigger and you don't lose stacks, only lose 1 abjuration ward charge.

I'm surprised by how good this is. Once you've got an extra attack it's very meaningful damage reduction in anything but a trivial combat.

From what I can tell you can get a max of 7 stacks of Force of Conduit, coupled with heavy armor master(-3) and the Adamantine splint armor(-2) you get a total of -12 damage as early as level 6(fighter) in act 1 w/ a decent armor class of 20 if you equip cloak of protection(purchased in last light) and choose defensive as your fighting style.

Combine with the Amulet of the Unworthy from the minotaurs, and throw in slash resistant armor like Chain Mail +2 or Adamantine, and you take 0 from sword hits pretty consistently.
Seems to have a weird interaction where, at least on Tactician, with enough charges some enemies wouldn't even strike at the character (despite having extra psychic damage on hit, so they'd still do damage). The thing is everybody else in the party was dead.
So they just stood there, shouting intimidating lines with the overhead dialogue at my character, not even attacking.
