Justiciar's Scimitar is one of the Slashing Weapons in Baldur's Gate 3. Justiciar's Scimitar is a crafty magical scimitar that allows to attack from concealmente without alerting the enemy and has a chance to Blind if attacking with advantage. In BG3, each type of weapon has different ranges, damages, and other features (Finesse, Versatile, Dippable, etc.). Characters need to master certain Proficiency before using a weapon, and sometimes gain special Actions while holding it.
This light, curved blade is as unsusual and unforgiving as the Darkness it strikes from.

As of Jan. 03. 2024, this item is bugged and doesn't proc even if you have advantage when you attack. I've tested it in Honour Mode, so I'm not sure whether this is the case in other modes or not.

Just to save people reading this a lot of time, here’s two things.
First, you get this by attacking the rats in Shar’s Gauntlet. If you take the rat’s offer for treasure in exchange for leaving them alone, you can’t get this because they all despawn. The “treasure” is garbage, so don’t take the bait.
After attacking them, you have to make your way down to the very bottom at the feet of the giant statue to find the main rat, which will trigger an encounter leading to this scimitar as a reward.
Second… You CANNOT get this on PS5. Once you get to the main rat at the bottom, the whole encounter breaks down and nothing happens. This is a known problem that happens 100% of the time for EVERYONE on PS5, and Larian has yet to fix it across multiple patches.

Probably a bug but it's notable that since this is not currently tagged as a scimitar, characters seem to automatically be proficient in its use... so rogues, who don't get scimitar proficiency by default, get to add their proficiency bonus to attack and damage rolls just like they would for shortswords or rapiers.

Feb 23 '24 (Patch 6) blindness proc working fine. Tested with risky ring. Shadow-blinding save roll shows in combat log. DC 14. (Strangely though, if they fail the save and become blinded (it's for 2 turns), two more save roll lines show up in the combat log as DC 11, but seem to have no effect on the outcome)
