Faerie Fire Tips & Notes
- Differences from D&D 5th Edition: In 5E, faerie fire only grants the bonus to attack rolls if the attacker can see the target.
- Ignores allies if the caster has the Sculpt Spells feature.

So if you make a half elf or Drow and then make a thief, you can use faerie fire to get sneak attacks as long as concentration lasts and this is made even better if you use the feat "sharpshooter" which eliminates disadvantage from height difference. Theoretically you can just get unlimited sneak attacks as long as faerie fire is sustained and you have sharpshooter on a character. THATS A LOT OF DAMAGE.

Is it just me , or does this do nothing to effect invisible enemies. It did nothing for me when cast directly over an invisible Duergar.

The description of this doesn't make sense, I think. Aside from randomly talking about "Find Familiar" in the initial description, I think it might need some editing.
It makes the target invisible, which would benefit them? But then also attacks against them have advantage? I guess I just don't quite understand what this is doing.

Doesn't actually illuminate the target; had Astarion unable to sneak attack the phase spider matriarch tagged with this because it was 'shrouded in shadow'.
Why I don't have this and a few other light domain spells on my Cleric?

Does this spell always have a dog **** hit rate or is it just me? Never seen it over 50% chance to hit. Usually it hovers in the mid 30s.

Keep in mind that enemies can save against this, and it's a dex save, so assassin type enemies will likely not be affected due to high dex. Another option for dealing with these enemies is aoe damage spells, as long as you have an idea of where they are
