Longstrider Tips & Notes
- Upcast: Affect an additional target per level.
- Longstrider is a ritual spell that does not expend a spell slot if cast outside combat.
- If the caster of this spell removes it from their prepared spells list, the spell's effect will end immediately.
- For any non-summon spell that lasts until Long Rest, the caster does not need to be in your party once you leave camp as long as the spell does not require concentration. Therefore, you can easily cast this spell on any party members you plan to use while leaving the caster back in camp.
It's that type of spells that not the best but always pleasurable.
If you can have it - have it, you won't regret.

Do yourself a favor and get the AOE Longstrider mod. Since everything you summon can also get longstrider you might need to cast it up to 7 times without the mod every long rest if you wanna keep those melee based summons useful

If you cast this with a second level or higher spell slot, you can still remove it from your prepared spells

Costs no spell slots due to being a ritual spell (obviously don't cast in combat) and can be the deciding factor in melee reaching their target turn one without jumping or dashing. An auto-take on Gale at 2nd level.

One of the two spells Gale should always learn at level 2. Stacks with other movement buffs from gear. Can be the difference between Lae'zel, Karnak, or a strength based main reaching their target or having to throw a Javelin. Aside from getting melee damage going in right away, movement is just overall good for everyone.

There are two pairs of boots that give this effect as long as the wearer has proficiency in medium armor. They are the Boots of persistence (Sold by Dammon for 1,500 gold once you meet him in Baldur's Gate) and the blackguard greaves (Dropped by That Which Lurks in the Bhallist temple)

If only there was an item that could cast this. Would remove some of the tediousness of having to swap to Gale at camp, then running all over while buffing everyone. Ahh, well. At least you can cast it and have it last until long rest, without needing to concentrate. Can't have everything, am I right?

feather fall just need a single click and then this stupid spell needs to click the whole team one by one

Yes it's chees but get a druid hireling with this and Goodberry. Cast this on 3 of your normal party and then burn all their spell slots on good berries. leave them in camp swap to your 4th and you've still got the buffs and the goodberries

Something to note and this might be a bug, You don't need the caster in the party. I'd buffed my character via gale, then needed to replace gale with another companion for story progression and kept the buff without him in the group. tried this with a few other spells it's specifically ones like this that say Until long rest that don't require concentration.

Amazing spell, lasts forever, and can cast on others. Either on melee trying to close distance, or ranged trying to get a good shot.
This spell applies a buff until next longrest. No concentration required. Raises speed from 9 to 12m. Dash doubles it to 24m.

If you take this with any of the initiate feats, does anyone know if this is still once per long rest of cast out of combat as a ritual, or can you apply it freely as long as the slot isn't consumed?
