Healing Word Tips & Notes for BG 3
- Upcast: When cast with a 2nd level spell slot or higher, the healing increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 1st.
- Healing Word will revive unconscious creatures with 0 hit points and is the best use of the spell in combat.
- Synergizes particularly well with magical items such as Hellrider’s Pride, Boots of Aid and Comfort and The Whispering Promise when cast in combat.
- Mechanically identical to the D&D5e version. Every cleric needs to have this in their deck, the ability to cast healing from a long distance on an ally allows you to not risk your own position being capitalized by your enemies, because of this functionality, you can safely cast this to bring someone back in the fight when they go down. Unlike Cure Wounds, Healing Word is a bonus action which allows you to squeeze a cantrip, spell or a mace to the face.
