Baldur's Gate 3 Wyrm's Crossing Walkthrough

Upon arriving at Wyrm's Crossing, X:-13 Y:58, proceed to Fraygo's Flophouse, X:-16 Y:76, where a cutscene unfolds featuring Dalyria and Pale Petras engaged in a dispute about securing more marks for their master during the Black Mass. Pale Petras reveals that the other mark is designated for himself, granting him freedom after the Master's approval. Suddenly, Astarion intervenes, his sarcasm evident as he questions if Cazador truly promised them freedom and whether they believed such a pledge. Dalyria expresses astonishment at Astarion's return, given his previous freedom. You have the option to step in with:

  1. Our objective is to eliminate Cazador. Only then can you gain your freedom.
  2. Provide us with information about the ritual. What do you know?
  3. Hold your tongue.

Opt for the second choice, and Pale Petras assumes that Astarion's return indicates his desire to ascend alongside them. Astarion's anger flares at Petras, and he curses at him. He seizes Petras, issuing threats. Dalyria pleads with Astarion to stop. You can respond with:

  1. Speak or suffer the flames. The choice is yours.
  2. Say nothing.
  3. [Persuasion] Astarion, Stop!

Choose the first option, and Dalyria discloses that the Master is preparing the Black Mass in a tainted chapel beneath his palace. Astarion releases Petras, resolving to thwart Cazador. Petras expresses astonishment, questioning Astarion's transformation. Astarion cryptically states that he has evolved beyond his former self, unafraid of anything. The sun's constraints and Cazador's influence no longer bind him. He asserts his unique capability to confront Cazador. Astarion instructs them to leave, and they vanish abruptly. Respond to Astarion with:

  1. I commend your compassion for sparing them.
  2. They might alert Cazador to our approach.
  3. We should have eliminated them.

Upon selecting the second option, Astarion concurs, acknowledging their likely warning and resultant trepidation. He empathizes with their coerced compliance under Cazador's will. He references Seven Sigils held by seven spawns, with Cazador in possession of six. Confronting him becomes imperative to seize the power. Your response can be:

  1. Sacrificing your siblings? Are you willing?
  2. Why not maintain distance? Cazador's ritual hinges on finding you.
  3. 'Ourselves'? Perhaps you mean yourself.
  4. At times, your intimidation surpasses the elder brain's.
  5. Let's proceed.

Opt for the third choice, and Astarion concurs. He asserts that by augmenting his power, the entire team benefits. He queries if you remain steadfast. Respond:

  1. We're a team. I've got your back.
  2. What if this is a trap?
  3. I'm uncertain.
  4. Shall we go? We've obtained what's needed – the ritual's location beneath the palace.

Choosing the second option prompts Astarion to assert that collectively, you will address the situation. Upon reaching the top floor of the house, you'll observe blood stains near a bed. You have the option to interact with this scene by selecting:

  1. [Investigation] Attempt to identify the origin of the blood.
  2. Leave.

Opt for the first choice, and with sufficient intelligence, you'll deduce the presence of a concealed body beneath the bed, adjacent to the blood stains. Extract the body to reveal Ffion's remains, obtaining Ffion's key in the process. Following the search, engage with Ffion's corpse using the Speak with the Dead spell. Pose the following questions:

  1. Who are you?
  2. What is this location?
  3. How did your demise occur?
  4. What were your activities before your passing?
  5. Leave.

Select the third option to uncover that his son was responsible for his murder. Proceed by inquiring about his son's identity, to which he responds with the name "Dolor." Continue by questioning the reason for his son's actions, and he reveals that he had discovered his son's hidden transgressions. Finally, query the nature of his son's secret, learning that his son had a penchant for taking lives. Upon concluding the conversation with the corpse, proceed to the 2nd floor of the Flaybo house. Engage with a chef named Queelia Arvis. Relay the news of Ffion's demise by opting for:

  1. I discovered Ffion's body, a victim of murder.
  2. I'm feeling a bit hungry. What options do you have?
  3. Leave.

Choose the first option, prompting her surprise. Then, make your way to the first floor and converse with Dashkent Moliver. Address him with:

  1. I stumbled upon a deceased dwarf's body concealed upstairs. Can you provide any insights?
  2. Leave.

Opt for the first choice, leading Dashkent to identify Ffion as one of Mamzell's associates from Sharess' Caress. Proceed to Sharess' Caress at X:10 Y:82 and engage with Korilla, who appears engaged in an argument with a Hoots Hooligan. Upon noticing you, she will request you to stand guard, subsequently greeting you as a familiar presence. This interaction advances the quest "Deal with the Devil." She introduces herself as Korilla and suggests that you taste some of the goods before visiting the boss. Before doing so, approach Mamzell Amira at the other counter. She will deduce your purpose as related to Ffion and express sorrow for her absence. If you delve further into the matter, the quest "Find the 'Stern Librarian' Ffion" will be triggered, but you've already discovered the body. Inform Mamzell immediately, and she will mourn Ffion's fate while expressing greater concern for financial matters. You can question her with options like:

  1. A woman has lost her life, and your focus is on money?
  2. Perhaps a small reward could be spared for me.
  3. Let's discuss other matters.

Upon selecting the first option, she rationalizes that death is commonplace in Baldur's Gate and emphasizes her business priorities. Subsequently, inquire about the possibility of receiving a reward, and she will direct your attention to the drow twins in the taproom. She provides you with a key to the Sharess' Caress Rooms and suggests you introduce yourself as a gift from Mamzell to witness their legendary status among patrons. This key acquisition concludes the "Find the 'Stern Librarian' Ffion" quest as well.

Upon conversing with Mamzell, you'll spot two men near a door in the brothel engaged in a discussion about Nine-Fingers. Approach them and select the first option, indicating you have business related to her. Borgus will express surprise, remarking that it seems she's involved with everyone. He mentions that the girl has encountered a formidable adversary, and Earspoon queries if it's the Kingpin. Earspoon pledges his blade to support the Kingpin if he intends to confront Nine-Fingers. As Earspoon is about to disclose Borgus' dealings with someone new, he notices your presence and questions you. Respond with:

  1. [Persuasion] That sounds like an intriguing opportunity. I'd like to join.
  2. [Detect thoughts] Probe the Dwarf's mind.
  3. And? Private matters shouldn't be aired in a brothel.
  4. Attack.
  5. Leave.

Opt for the second option to uncover that Nine-Fingers is not pleased with Zenovia and wants to avoid informing her. To address this situation, you can select the option that requires speaking to Nine-Fingers about Zenovia. Earspoon provides the address: Lower City, Basilisk Gate, Guildhall. This updates the "Aid the Underduke" quest.

As you leave, ascend the stairs and encounter Valeria the Investigator. She recognizes you from the Open Hand Temple and questions if Yannis has involved you in something. You can reply with:

  1. I'm just here to have a drink.
  2. Unfortunately, yes - I've discovered new evidence, Investigator.
  3. She asked me to uncover Lorgan's true murderer, given your apparent disinterest.
  4. Leave.

Choose the third option, prompting her to notice your expression and liken you to her associate, Devella. She inquires about your findings, and you can reveal your conclusion that Father Lorgan's death is linked to a larger plot involving Bhaal. Valeria is surprised, as Devella is investigating a similar Bhaal-related matter. Present your theory, the Murder Target List, which confirms your belief. Valeria suggests you meet Devella at the Elfsong Tavern, providing a pass for Lower City access. This advances the "Investigate the Murders" quest.

Subsequently, ascend another floor and utilize the key provided by Mamzell to unlock a door. Upon entering, a private scene unfolds between Fist Jara and Naoise Nallinto. As you appear, Jara senses something and recognizes you. Reply with:

  1. You're in danger. Leave now!
  2. Looks intriguing. Mind if I join?
  3. Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken.
  4. This seems personal. I should depart.

Select the first option, leading Jara to mention that the Absolute showed her your face. She transforms into a Mind Flayer, triggering a battle. Afterward, converse with Naoise, who is both startled and captivated by the Mind Flayer's beauty. Reply to her with:

  1. Did that creature arouse you?
  2. That entity turned you on? Disgusting.
  3. Well, then. I'm glad you're safe.
  4. [Warlock] I'm not one to judge, but desiring an extraplanar being like that is peculiar.
  5. Leave.

Choose the fourth option, and she admits her attraction. You'll sense Naoise's unusual response to the Mind Flayer. Reply with:

  1. The creature aroused you, didn't it?
  2. That thing turned you on? Disgusting.
  3. Well, then. I'm glad you're safe.
  4. [Warlock] I'm not one to judge, but desiring an extraplanar being like that is peculiar.
  5. Leave.

Opt for the fourth option, and she explains that desire is instinctual and not peculiar. She hints at exploring various experiences. Reply with:

  1. What do you have in mind?
  2. I'm not interested in that, but thank you.
  3. Some coins will suffice.

Select the first option, leading her to suggest you close your eyes and listen. An aura radiates, and Naoise inquires about your desired state. Reply with:

  1. Revered.
  2. Contented.
  3. Powerful.
  4. Wealthy.
  5. I believe we're done here.

Opt for the first option, and she claims you're more than revered - you're worshipped. After the scene, she assures you'll remember her, and she'll remember you.

Following your conversation, proceed to another room on the same floor at X:-14 Y:105 and engage with Raphael. He's pleased to see you and snaps his fingers to clear your mind. Initiate a conversation using the following responses:

  1. Did you just rid me of the tadpole with a snap of your fingers?
  2. I feel... empty. What did you do?
  3. Another mere trick. Show me something substantial.

Choose the first option, and Raphael clarifies that your tadpole remains, but he has silenced your other guest temporarily for a private discussion. The Illithid cannot eavesdrop. Your companions raise concerns, questioning Raphael's intentions. Respond with:

  1. I trust the Illithid more than I trust you.
  2. Speak freely then - tell me why I'm here.
  3. Clever, but you initially promised a cure, not this.

Opt for the second option, and Raphael affirms his commitment to his word, asserting that he'll eliminate your tadpole. He acknowledges your progress and your pursuit of confronting the elder brain. He hints that you possess the means to destroy it. Inquire:

  1. The Astral Prism?
  2. The Emperor?
  3. Orpheus?

Select the third option, and Raphael confirms your suspicion. He explains that he can offer a solution to set Orpheus free. Respond with:

  1. Continue.
  2. Orpheus' guards tried to kill me - he's dangerous.
  3. Why would I want to free him?

Opt for the third option, and Raphael sarcastically wonders if you prefer indulging in the Emperor's tentacles. He elaborates that Orpheus could ally with you against the elder brain, since you share an enmity with it. Express your thoughts:

  1. Based on what I've seen, Orpheus is my adversary, and the Emperor is my ally.
  2. The Emperor is the reason I'm alive.
  3. Fine - explain how I can free him.

Choose the first option, and Raphael attempts to convince you of your gullibility. He asserts that you're merely a tool for the Emperor's agenda, transporting it to the elder brain. While Orpheus might cooperate initially, if he resists, you might have to eliminate him. Reply:

  1. The risk is worth taking. How can I free Orpheus?
  2. I'm convinced. Tell me the method to liberate Orpheus.
  3. We're done here - I'm departing.

Opt for the first option, resulting in two updated quests "Free Orpheus" and 'Deal with the Devil" in your journal. Raphael discloses that the Orphic Hammer is an artifact capable of breaking Prince Orpheus' chains, secured at the House of Hope. Respond with:

  1. Perfect - hand it over.
  2. Seems too convenient to be true.
  3. How convenient that you possess exactly what I need.

Select the third option, and Raphael suggests the convenience could extend to your offering something in return. Reply:

  1. What's your desired gain from all this?
  2. You probably want my soul for the Hammer, right?
  3. Just reveal your demands.
  4. I won't negotiate with you, Raphael.

Choose the second option, and Raphael discloses that he desires something more valuable: the Crown that controls the Elder Brain. Respond with:

  1. I'm intrigued - explain your eagerness for the crown.
  2. What exactly is this crown?
  3. Handing over such a potent artifact to a devil seems risky.
  4. No.

Opt for the first option, and he speaks of power, tracing his longing for the Crown back to when Archwizard Karsus created it, leading to the fall of the Netheril empire. Raphael was present at its demise. He explains that anyone who possesses it can ascend to godhood. His goal is to rule the Nine Hells with its power. This advances the "The Wizard of Waterdeep" quest. Reply with:

  1. The thought of you ruling the Nine Hells isn't comforting.
  2. You'd make an excellent Archdevil Supreme.
  3. How can you be confident in using the Crown where Karsus failed?
  4. Why didn't you seize the crown earlier?
  5. I'll take the crown and wield its power myself.

Choose the third option, and Raphael states his immortal nature prevents failure. Reply with:

  1. If you're incapable of failing, why couldn't you obtain the Crown before?
  2. The notion of you ruling the Nine Hells isn't reassuring.

Opt for the first option, and he explains that Mephistopheles, one of the Archdevils, sealed the Crown in one of his vaults. Raphael awaited an opportunity, and when the Chosen's actions brought the crown into play, he seized the chance. Reply:

  1. It must irk you that mortals managed to steal the crown while you couldn't.
  2. How did the crown end up with them?
  3. How can you be certain I'll secure the crown?

Choose the first option, and Raphael agrees, frustrated by the mess they caused. He outlines the deal: when you vanquish the Elder Brain, bring the Crown to him, and he'll exchange it for the hammer. Choose:

  1. I accept the terms. Where do I sign?
  2. I'd rather destroy the crown than risk its misuse again.
  3. Once I possess the Netherstones, I'll control the Crown myself.
  4. No deal, Raphael - I'm leaving.

Select the fourth option and depart. Now, proceed northward until you arrive at Dantheleon's Dancing Axe located at X:-11 Y:141. Engage in conversation with the seller named Entharl Dantheleon. Entharl will bring up the topic of Jaheira. You can respond with:

  1. Yes, it was. And she recognizes you as well.
  2. Stop lying. Jaheira has a tendency to use truth-enhancing herbs.
  3. Let's move on.

Opt for the first option, and Entharl acknowledges that he knew she was alive. He clarifies that you're at the right place but should search for the Leaf Licker on your own. Respond with:

  1. Somewhere else, but she trusts me with this task.
  2. That's not something you need to worry about.

Select the first option, and Entharl mentions that you are one of the few she trusts. He hands you a key to access the area below, where others await bearing grim tidings. Proceed to the adjacent room and descend the ladder. As you reach the bottom, you'll encounter Harper Geraldus, who was expecting Jaheira but is surprised to see you instead. You can reply with:

  1. You have keen observation skills.
  2. I'm here on her behalf. You can deliver your report to me.

Choose the first option, and Harper Chelvin recognizes you as the individual who defeated Ketheric in the Shadowlands. Geraldus, through his tears, sends you a signal indicating his fear. You can respond with:

  1. [Detect Thoughts] Probe the halfling's mind.
  2. Geraldus, I'm sorry - please just speak plainly.
  3. Why is he so frightened of you?
  4. Ketheric was only the beginning. Do you possess information on the other Chosen?
  5. And you are...?

Opt for the first option, and with sufficient intelligence, you realize that Harper Chelvin is a doppelganger. Respond with:

  1. Geraldus, I'm sorry - please just speak plainly.
  2. Why is he so frightened of you?
  3. Ketheric was only the beginning. Do you possess information on the other Chosen?
  4. And you are...?
  5. Strike before the doppelgangers act.

Choose the fifth option, triggering a battle. Following the fight, you can converse with Geraldus again, who expresses gratitude. Respond with:

  1. No need for thanks. Are you injured?
  2. Don't express gratitude yet. How can I trust you're not a doppelganger as well?
  3. What's the story behind the Selune's Tears reference?

Select the first option, and Geraldus appreciates simply being alive. He then inquires if you are the individual sent by High Harper Jaheira. You can reply with:

  1. Indeed, I am. I've come to offer assistance.
  2. Jaheira didn't dispatch me anywhere. We're partners, equals.
  3. I'm not associated with the Harpers. I happened to be passing by.

Opt for the first option, and he expresses gratitude for being the first friendly face he's encountered during the day. This updates the "The High Harper" quest. Geraldus proceeds to explain that others have either scattered or perished. Jaheira sent word about the victory over Ketheric and instructed them to seek out cultists in the city. However, the cultists were actually hunting them. The situation grew quiet until they began asking about Rashemaar. You can reply with:

  1. Who is Rashemaar? What's Jaheira's connection to them?
  2. And then what unfolded?

Choose the first option, and Geraldus wonders if Jaheira didn't inform you. He requests that you convey his message to Jaheira. He reveals that he cannot continue the hunt. The cult has done something with Rashemaar, and they don't want him found.
