This feat is best when taken on a tadpoled character. They get transfuse health illithid ability which can be used before taking a short rest in order to redistribute the health between party members, then get max heal from this feat.

Does anyone know if this works with "song of rest"? Throw this on a tank with a bard on your team and you get a full health heal I think.

This feat is average for DnD but mediocre for BG3. This is because taking short rests and long rests is trivial in BG3 unlike DnD where it has to make sense. Overall I would recommend staying away from this feat and pick Ability Improvement instead.
