Crossbow Expert is a Feat in Baldur's Gate 3. Feats are special talents or expertises that provide special capabilities to characters. At certain levels, your character will get to choose between an Ability Score Improvement Feature or a Feat. (Note this feat is not available in EA and all info is subject to change.)

Crossbow Expert Information

• When you make crossbow attacks within melee range, the Attack Rolls do not have Disadvantage.
• Your Piercing Shot also inflicts Gaping Wounds for twice as long.

  • Crossbow Expert: Wounding

How to Unlock Crossbow Expert

You'll need to fulfill the following requirements to unlock Crossbow Expert

• All Classes at Level 4

Crossbow Expert Tips & Notes

• Crossbow Expert is going to make it so that you don't have a disadvantage when you're attacking with a crossbow when enemies are in melee range of you
• It also makes it so your Piercing Shot weapon action inflicts Gaping Wounds for twice as long, which I think is four turns
• When you attack with your Main Hand Crossbow, you can still do an off-hand attack as a Bonus Action.
• You shouldn't be near melee enemies when you're ranged attacking normally, but this allows you to do so with no penalty with Crossbows and Hand Crossbows.
