This game is too buggy. I had this talent on my companion. After i reset him to test another build without this talent, for my surprise, I got advantage rolls on concentration for no reason at all (companion doesn't have any item that gives constitution or concentration advantage, neither some kind of buff that gives it), it just happened. So why bother to take this talent? lol.

Shocking Grasp never worked for me... Main Tav, Shadowheart and Wyll got this talent. Never once Shocking Grasp ("Opportunity") triggered for anyone. Game is up to date (Patches 1 and 2, and all 6 hotfixes existing to this day).

Does the con save proficiency stacked with advantage make this feat worth picking up on Sorcerers? Losing concentration on a twin cast haste sucks

the chat log doesnt even show that you roll with advantage on saving concentration checks, so it must be bugged and only provides the shocking grasp reaction lol

Does anyone know how this actually scales? Lets say I pick it on a cleric, does it use:
a, My Strength mod since this is an AOO?
b, My Wis mod since that is my specllcasting attribute?
c, My Int mod since it is a wizard cantrip?

I'm planning to get this feat for my character, but I don't understand how the shocking grasp part of this feat works. Do I get the shocking grasp cantrip "for free" with this feat, or do I get a special shocking grasp that can only be used as a reaction, or can I only use this part of the feat if the character already have shocking grasp?

I don't mind somatics on spells being ignored - having this baked into default gameplay is fine to me and the notion that your character couldn't quickly stow their weapon to do a bit of spellcraft was always a bit silly to me and more mechanical than practical.

The concentration advantage was always what caster mains took the feat for, along with being able to cast any spell that takes an Action as a Reaction instead of an Opportunity Attack. Eldritch Blast was absolutely amazing for this. Shocking Grasp can die in a fire, though - why in the world would I want to disable enemy reactions when THEY ARE RUNNING AWAY AND PROVOKING MY REACTION. I can only assume the devs did it this way because it was a huge pain to program the tabletop version of the Opportunity Attack function, and they just went with a melee range cantrip because using a spell slot for a pre-locked spell would piss people off (especially since it would be at disadvantage, as Crossbow Expert only removes close-range penalties for crossbows now)

Dam War Caster got gutted, they already baked in the part where it allows you to cast spell even with a weapon and shield equipped. So they only give the concentration advantage which makes it slightly desirable , and reducing the ability to cast a spell as a reaction when opportunity attack get triggered to only shocking grasp makes it a hard pick to just straight up rise con modifier.

So no Eldritch blast combo's here then......... And here I was just finding the repelling blast, polearm mastery combo with this thing. fk mee.

This should be fixed, because some spell casters, especially WIS-based, cannot acquire Shocking Grasp spell. It should be, at least, selectable from Cantrip ~ 1st spell imo.
