It have sense for sorcerer, because they can't use glyph of ward and have only fireball.
In additional, if you get +1 attribute from Ethel, you can have 20 charisma at 4 lvl and get this feat at 8.

I still roll 1s for damage with this feat. For example a 2d10 Firebolt should do a minimum of 4 damage but I’ll only deal 3.

Does this also include reaction fire spells like hellish rebuke and fire shield?

I feel like this feat is bugged. I get the lightning version on a thunder cleric, use a lightning spell with maxed damage from divine channel on 3 weak to lightning targets. I had a 50 outcome damage for every one where i should have 100. On a resistant one, i did get a 25 damage... It may come from saving throw but i didn't see any message about it and i repeateadly have this outcome. I finally dumped all elemental adept feats because i think this is not working at all...
Anyone can relate this ?

No poison option for some reason so thats 3.5 hours of gameplay down the toilet because I tried to make a poison sorc build. Thanks Larian for making poison damage somehow worse than it is in 5e

The way how this Feat is supposed work.
; Enemy has Resistance against Acid meaning they take halved damage from Acid spells
; You pick this Feat
; Acid now does normal damage on the target instead of halved
; If you attack a normal target that has no Acid Resistances you don't get anything

This is a weak feat for most casters. However, it is nice for draconic sorcerers, since you are always using fire spells. Higher lvl spells and cantrips have more dicerolls and the dmg improvement from the feat becomes noticeable. After pumping charisma to 20 this feat is the best thing you can take on dragon sorc

Does this function as a reroll of any 1s? Or is it like PnP and 1s are treated as 2s? The wording is super vague.

Is this worth it compared to picking up another ability improvement feat?

still managed to roll a 1 (critical miss) to hit during combat with elemental adept so there's no way this works as described

Managed to roll a 1 (critical miss) to hit during combat with elemental adept so this definitely doesn't work as described

as off now "can't roll 1" doesn't work. I managed to deal 2 damage on 2d8 ice ray

Very important for making the maximum effect of an electrified steam combo. First cast Create Water and make the enemies Wet. Then electrify the water, typically by blasting some kind lightning or Shock but the spark boots work too. Finally use fire with someone who has Elemental Adept to AOE the electrified water into electrified steam. You need this to overcome the fire resistance gained from targets being "Wet". Or you could just Chromatic Orb twice on your Sorc. Once for the Electric which actually creates a small electric pool, and once to use fire to turn it into Steam. This actually forgoes the need to get this Feat, but its kind of nice to be able to nail targets who are resistant to fire when you are setting up environmental combos like this.
