Swordmaster Gloves are Gloves in Baldur's Gate 3. Gloves can be equipped to a character's hands in their designated inventory slot and provide different effects ranging from increased Saving Throws, to gaining Advantage on certain attacks. Even a modest pair of Gloves in BG3 can help a character tremendously, so be on the lookout for them, and equip them when you can.

I like this item on Shadowheart. Shadowheart is a trickery domain cleric, so she likes to have good dexterity as she doesn't get heavy armor proficiency. Also as a cleric, she's good at both buffing and debuffing things. However, the only finesse weapon she's proficient with are daggers and bows.
These give her access to shortswords, which, sure, there's a few good ones, but I like it for the longsword proficiency. Longswords are not normally finesse, but there's a really good one that's got it as an extra property - Phalar Aluve. This bad boy's blessing stacks with regular bless for 2d4 to attack rolls and saving throws, but the shriek is super good too, making it easier for you and everyone else to land your CC abilities, and the thunder damage works on magic missile or eldritch blast, but the best part is that it functions like a second strike of the spell itself.
Pair her up with Wyll, cast the shriek effect, and if he hexes a target and shoots two blasts at it, he'll get the damage from hex and agonizing blast TWICE on each hit. Probably stacks with other effects like the Potent Robe too.
This might get changed at some point, because the bonus damage is still very good and will apply to every hit of things like magic missile, but right now it makes her a warlock's best friend.
Now, yes, she can actually still use the shriek anyway without proficiency. But having it gives her the ability to use the dash, which is quite nice, and gives her something worthwhile to hit with to utilize the level 8 feature that gives poison damage on hit that isn't... what, the Sussur dagger?

if laezel is already a pro-greatsword gamer from mars
will this stack with the proficiency and make her sword attacks roll better or is it pointless?

Is this +1 to attack roles for any melee weapon regardless of type?
The +1 to attack rolls seems to only affect your main hand weapon, regardless of any unlocked features such as two weapon fighting
