Winter's Clutches are Gloves in Baldur's Gate 3. - Encrusted with Frost: Affected entity has Disadvantage on Dexterity Saving Throws. When there are 7 or more turns remaining, the entity must succeed a Constitution Saving Throw or take 1-4 Cold damage and become Frozen (Affected entity is utterly enamelled in ice and is incapacitated. If it is dealt Bludgeoning, Thunder, or Force damage, the ice shatters, ending the condition). On a successful save, it only takes half damage. Afterward, the frost sloughs away. Removed by Burning. CON Save.

Seems like a lot of effort just to watch an enemy save on the throw.

So hold on .. it says "If 7+ turns remains" on the passive.. You apply 2 stacks per cold spell and once each turn lose 1 turn of the effect. To get to 7 turns on encrusted frost would be impossible to achieve as you're always losing 1 off the turn. How will you get 7+ stack of this? Surely there is a mistake here these are impossible to get the passive effect
Sadly the Frost Spell DC is bugged at the moment. It's always set to 12, despite me having way above it and it shows it in the math.
DC: 8 (Base) + 3 (Charisma) + 4 (Proficiency) + 2 (Arcane Enchantment) + 5 Arcane Acuity) = 12

Would this work on a Monk using the Mourning Frost staff to bonk heads? Thinking of trying an Ice Monk. cx
There are actually 3 copies in the game, if you side with glut it's your reward, then there's Ethser in the mountain pass and I forget the third...
