If you recruit Gale and Sir Fuzzalump hireling, you can just hold the books that give inspiration in storage and bring them into your party when you need some inspiration. Read the books to get 2 inspirations each time.

Roots of the Grove: Druids have an easier time and don't need to make skill checks for this one. There are panels inside the Druid's Grove where Kagha is. Upon reading all 4 panels, Shadowheart will have a small conversation eluding to her backstory, and Sages/Gale will receive this Inspiration. Druids also receive a slightly different narrative, so it may be worth respeccing to hear it at least once, and or potentially not have to make the checks.

A Natural Alliance - Underneath the broken bridge outside of the Blighted Village there are two skeletons there. You need to search them both, AND wait for a few moments so that the Main Character sais something along the lines of "I recognize that armor..." Which will pop the Inspiration for Sage backgrounds and Gale. There are two ways to reach the skeletons. Climb down the cliff just to the left on the side with the Gnolls/Hyena's, or when you are coming from the Toll House/Karlach, stay along the water. Both ways will take you to the Skeletons, they are fairly difficult to see, so I recommend Alt Highlighting, even then, it's hit or miss. They are in the center of the bottom broken bridge on the Gnoll/Hyena side.

WHISPERS FROM THE GRAVE - Glean some wisdom from speaking with the dead.

For Reanimator, you CANNOT use/make the Perform Check, pass or fail, in order for it to trigger. Rezzing Gale, is a legit pita... Can't even have a quick jazz session knowing you can bring him back with a revivify, scroll or spell. Nevermind the True Res Scroll you HAVE to use.

Sage also gets an inspiration in Act 1 for obtaining all three clues to the forge from the Drow in the Underdark "If I can't have it..."
Gale doesn't seem inspired by reading Treatise on Antimagic anymore?
