Unique items locked behind random quests is ridiculous and ruins the aspect of making decisions according to your role playing choice. A random bum kid having one of the best rings in the game? Ffs

I stole the idol after Kagha's quest, and before rescuing Halsin. During this time the druids stopped performing the ritual, but Mol still wants the idol.
As to how, as usual i used perform to distract. All bards are nasty thieves, it's not a stereotype.

Having tried this on two accounts now, I have a pretty good ideas to how to get this without starting a fight.

Casting fog just a bit in front of the idol of silvanus does not upset anybody. You can freely jump into the fog, enter turn-based mode, steal the idol while still in the fog, quickly exit turn-based mode, open the map and click anywhere else on the right to teleport. If ending turn-based mode and teleporting is done very quickly, you can get out before they have any time to react.

This avoids any of the fighting starting. Your journal will tell you otherwise, but the fighting will not actually begin. Just wait a little while and come back to finish the quest with no issues.

u should give the idol before you save halsin... idk if it is bugged but when i gave the idol to mol after i saved halsin she just took it and didn't gave me the ring

Quest is bugged. If you steal the idol before talking to Mol, you cannot get the quest anymore, no matter how many kids you save.

Give the Idol of Sylvanis to Mol and get the ring. Then buy it back. May be able to also steal it but I did not try.
