The note has a mistake. This does not synergize with Hellrider pride gloves. Those only trigger blade ward when you heal *another* creature

This thing is deeply upsetting.
I figured it would passively heal every 6 seconds or so outside combat, but it doesn’t. Okay, tedious but fair, it does specify that it activates at the beginning of your turn. So I just have to go into turn-based mode and skip turns?
Nope, it only works when you’re specifically locked in combat against hostile enemies.
1d4 healing per turn ONLY IN COMBAT is total dog crap. A single enemy will hit you for 20+ damage easy.
This would ONLY be useful outside combat, but I guess they didn’t like the idea of people cheesing it by swapping it in and out. So now its only useful function is to trigger “on heal” effects from other items.
