Barkskin Armour is a Medium Armor in Baldur's Gate 3. Barkskin Armour is a medium armor sold by Quartermaster Talli at Last Light Inn.  Medium Armor can be equipped to a character's body in their designated inventory slot, providing AC and sometimes special effects. Although heavier armor usually provides more protection, keep in mind they may also hinder your characters' spell casting.

      The only way I can see this being useful is if the barkskin AC transfers to your wildshapes. Anyone know if it does?

        this needed to be light armor to be of any use then a warlock or bard that could not use shield would have great use of it, but being medium armor is a real waste and shame

          When used with Cloak of Protection AND a shield, it seems to increase AC to 17, applying Cloak of Protection AC effect.
          When used only with Cloak of Protection only or shield only, the AC remains at 16.

            Tell me this is bugged? It sets your AC to 16 with NO means of increasing it, not even with its innate potential dex armour bonus of 2? Not even cloak of Protection adds its +1 armor to this. What a junk item!

              This armor is bugged and will set your AC to 16 regardless of any other bonuses you might have.

              The barkskin buff, for some season, is applying last and is functionally different from the effect from Barkskin Elixir.
