Bhaalist Armour is a Light Armour in Baldur's Gate 3. Light Armour can be equipped to a character's body in their designated inventory slot, providing AC and sometimes special effects. Although heavier armor usually provides more protection, keep in mind they may also hinder your characters' spell casting.
Bhaal, Lord of Murder, was forced to walk the world as a mortal man during a period of history called the Time of Troubles. He was more vulnerable than he had ever been.
But Bhaal was cunning. He had contingencies in case he died.

For some reason, it also works on enemies that are resistant to Piercing damage, such as steel watchers.

Item is bugged..on changing areas (loading) you must reequip it..very annoying..basically useless..if you forget..otherwise bets armor damagewise for dual wield short swords

Is it possible to get the armor if orinn is already dead due to a different playthrough?

This is like the bg3 equivalent of rivers of blood in terms of op nonsense.

This seems like it stops working on reloading. I was wondering why enemies weren't vulnerable when i noticed they didn't have aura of murder. Toggling it off and on again seemed to make them vulnerable.

Hah, if you toggle the Aura of Murder on, your own party members will run away from you in camp. Thankfully they don't when actually out and about... but everyone ELSE does instead. If you're in anarrow area, it's funny as hell to see a parade of NPCs in a train in front of you.

against piercing resistant enemies, it simply neutralises the resistance (eg damage is neither halved nor doubled)

it says it doesn't work on resistant enemies but it does lol. absolutely broken item. but will probably get bugfixed soon

How I don't see this talked?! This thing is bonkers, it's essencially doubles the damage of melee rogues!
I think this is a more than adequate alternate to Potent Robe.
On the Potent Robe page you see lots of people complaining they can't get it because they're being evil.
Well here I am complaining that I have to be evil to get this Armour instead!
All this to say, game's well made, nice rewards for evils, nice rewards for goods, dang I want this armour, guess I gotta make an evil now lol :D
