Sentient Amulet is one of the available Amulets in Baldur's Gate 3. In BG3, there are two types of Accessories, Rings or Amulets. Once equipped, these Accessories may give the character certain bonuses, such as new Spells, resistance against certain kinds of damage, bonus AC, an increase to an Ability Score or more.
Sun-graced warmth radietes from the pendant and its chain. Somehow, even a brief glance of it brings a smile to your face.

This monk guy has special dialogue if you carry him and his amulet to the Creche in the Rosymorm Monastery lol.
He's apparently a follower of Lathander, I took some screenshots of his dialogue and it goes like this:
Near the broken and obscure statue at the bottom of the Monastery: "Beloved Morninglord! I must request thee of a reverential reverie. HeheHEEEEE!" , "I visited this place in a forlorn and forgotten age, to lay mine eyes upon the Blood of Lathander"
On the Secret Chamber reaching the true Blood of Lathander: " The Blood of Lathander, as I barely live and hardly breathe. HahaHAhaha."
Funniest sht is that I made Astarion wear it, and first time the dialogue sounded I thought it was *him* speaking like that lmao

If you're trying to talk to the amulet for the first time outside of the ancient forge, try going back to the ancient forge and talk to it there. I had to do that in my run. Unlocked it in camp while in a different area, had to fast travel back to the ancient forge to talk to it

Until the last patch, I am sure that I could restore at least 6 ki points. Too bad they lowered the number to 2

My "blue version with no abilities" seems to increase my hit rolls by a random bonus when equipped.

There are three versions of this amulet.
1.) When you pick it up, the blue with shatter, restore ki, and the High Spirits debuff (forcing you to succeed a will save every time you use an ability or get smacked for a round of Tasha's hideous laughter every time you fail.
2.) A blue version with no abilities worth 125 gold pieces. This is obtained by taking the monk's curse, succeeding x2 saving throws, and permanently gaining the ability to cast Tasha's hideous laughter.
3.) A purple version that retains the level 3 shatter cast and the ki restoration per long rest. This is obtained by choosing "God's no. I don't want to inherit your curse." and surviving the ensuing fight. This will remove the high spirits debuff, leaving the monk cursed to laugh for all eternity. This option can grant up to 450 exp if you down the rest of the level 9 zombies he raises before bringing him down.

I sent the amulet directly to camp instead of picking it up. Now it won't seem to talk to me. So I might be locked out of the quest.

There is a key to chest, just look north from chest near lava, There is skely there

Must've used 10 thieves' tools on this damn chest and it still won't open

Pop the lava bubbles and leap across the platforms, or summon mage hand and have it carry it back to safety hah

From the forge waypoint go behind the platform where you fight the armored creatures down to the lava area by the mithral deposit. You should see a cliff overlooking an island surrounded by lava with a statue and an altar with an adamantide chest. Cast feather fall on a character with atheletics, have them hop down and pick up the chest, then fast travel back up to the waypoint and drop the chest back on ground.
Then lockpick and do the dialogue. I think they are wisdom checks requiring 2x 20 dice rolls. Equipping the amulet puts a buff on you that says it requires a wisdom saving throw or you go mad.
This is laughably bad. Was playing as a Cleric of Latender and had to pass TWO FOKEN CHECKS, for investigation and religion - both of which require int btw, a dump stat for clerics, to notice what this an amulet of A GOD I FOKEN SERVE! Best rpg of all time, ladies and gentlemen
