True Loves Embrace is found on a skeleton which is on a mattress on the floor. This can be found at the front entrance to the House of Healing, in the area behind the 'nurse' working at the front desk.

Currently easily the best magic item in the game it's kinda not even close. it's ring of protection + resistence to everything.

Giving it to your companion at camp is an exploit and probably will be patched because if you throw smth at them or push them, do anything really, it activates their AI, and first thing that friendly AI does when hurt is healing itself to full hp, for free, inifinitly. so if you dont wanna waste revivify's just go back to your camp and poke your waifu once in a while.

Amazing mechanic combined with amazing storytelling. The story is also a hint on how you SHOULD be using these rings!

Putting them on two active party members doesn’t make sense, as you are simply passing damage around at the cost of losing two ring slots.

The proper way to use them is, like in Miranda’s story, to slap the receiving ring onto a non-combatant. Use a non-active companion or, better yet, a hireling specifically built for high health pool, equip the ring, and leave them at camp. Voila, you have your own living battery to siphon life force! After having seen so many villains in various media using this mechanic, it’s great to have the option of doing it yourself so nonchalantly.

Assuming it works exactly like the level 2 cleric spell, one of my favorite low level spells. No concentration ,lasts until long rest, splits damage. To make it really effective the caster needs to have damage reduction of some sort. I combo adamantine plate, heavy armor mastery and add blade warding as necessary. Thus shadowheart takes no damage from physical unless the hit is 10+. I'm going to try these rings with Karlach as a bear heart, should work pretty well when rage is going to reduce damage further as caster.

So if I'm seeing this right, you can equip the rings on whichever two characters and cast the spell, then even if you unequip them, the buffs still remain. Seems useful if you'd rather use the ring slots for something else.

Tested with my Warlock and Shadowheart.

Why the hell should she make him wear that lmao
Are Shar disciples just straight up insane? You'd think they wouldn't try to kill their loved ones for fun or something

Yea, the damage transfer sounded really useful from the description in the lore books, but sadly it doesn't work like that. The lore makes it sound like the warder would suffer all the damage instead of the wardee, when in fact the damage just gets copied entirely.

the effect of the gentle warding bond spell also includes sharing whatever damage you take with the wearer of the other ring
