Bear Companion is an Animal Companion in Baldur's Gate 3 that can be summoned by using the Summon Companion Action, this creature will help you on your quest and fight on your side.
A bear that can draw the enemy's attention and endure heavy attacks.
Bear Companion Abilities
- Movement Speed: 9m
- Darkvision: 12m
- Goading Roar: Roar at all enemies within 9m, forcing them to make a Wisdom Save or become Goaded for two turns. If enemies have the option to attack a creature they have been goaded by, they must do so.
- Prey's Scent: Deal an additional 1d6 damage to creatures their Ranger has marked with Hunter's Mark.
Bear Upgrades
- Level 3. Bear Claws: Lash out with deadly claws to deal 1d8+3Slashing damage.
- Level 5. Honeyed Paws: As above and the target is Disarmed or knocked Prone (if not armed) on hit.
- Level 11. Ursine Reinforcements: Allows the Bear to summon a second Bear (Level 7) which stays until you Long Rest (refreshed on a Short Rest) to fight alongside you.
Bear Companion Notes and Tips
- The Bear is a pretty good tank due to the taunt and utility.
- Prone + Ensnaring Strike = "Stun Lock".
