“Dusty connotations” purity, and sanctity are very dusty indeed. Apparently having a ran through goddess is much more appealing.
If I were a god/goddess fictional or otherwise I would be pissed at the idea of mortals dragging me down to their filth just to find me more approachable. I’m here to uplift you so you can hold yourselves to a higher standard not be dragged down to your level.

moonmote is nice but it requires long rest, turns to be mediocre weapon.
meanwhile you can cast darkness every turn or attack and generate darkness with shar's.

You HAVE to talk to Dame Aylin using Tav, if you do it as shadowheart you will have the cutscene that gives you this spear but you will not receive it in your inventory and can never access the cutscene again.

Moonlight Glaive > This Weapon. Has more damage, and a special attack that recharges every short rest rather than long like this one.

I've done the quest as a Shadowheart playthrough, got the spear, had the convo... it never appeared in my inventory. I never got it.

I tossed it into a lake to hit a lever while it was bound to my eldritch knight and it deleted it. Noticed 2 hours later. it's gone

In the 3rd edition, one of her domains is CHASTITY. The description of this item and thebportrayal in 5e and its adaptation as this game runs counter to her previously stablished character. Also, maiden and virginity do not give "dusty" connotations. Female virginity is a good thing that is valied actually.

is there any way to get this if I haven't used shadowheart as a companion up until this point in the game? she insists on killing the nightsong. Do i just need to increase relations before speaking with nightsong?

I don't understand why the Shar Spear is so much better than this one. I mean I don't mind if the Shar Spear is a little better, but its so much better its not even funny. This is spear is pretty much only good in a couple very niche character builds. Otherwise it's pretty comfortably out classed by other things.
