The Urge is a Companion Quest in Baldur's Gate 3. The Urge can be acquired from Dark Urge origin characters. The Dark Urge Page is also another source of information about the Dark Urge

The Urge Objectives

 Be yourself! Think dirty thoughts!

• You really can't help it, can you? These vile things you do... Don't you wonder why you're doing them? You must really have been an awful person before the crash... Perhaps it's better that you forgot about it. But you want to know, don't you?
• Special, yes, special, aren't you? Ssh, don't fight it. You know what you need to do. Take up that knife, do what you do best. Easy as breathing. You'll fell better after.

Get over it! Spill more blood!

• Oh, don't look so scandalised. This is definitely not the first time you've done thid. Quil have have grown up to become the age's great songstress, byt you - you can be the msot prolific killer in the history of the Realms! It will be easy - you can do it in your sleep!

Trust the Butler.

• Sceleritas Fel is a murderer's murderer. He will set you right. Don't worry, as I'm sure you can tell, you can't help but be a prodigy spree-killer. It's in your perfect nature. While you may have forgotten your past, you can't forget what you were best at! Just follow your Butler. You can trust him!

Kill that sweet cleric!

• Is-o-bel. Cleric of Selûne. Defender of Last Light. Died summer 1492 DR. Slap it on a headstone - doesn't it sound right? The Butler told you to kill her. The Butler knows what's best for you. He knows ho to get you old life back. Isn't that all you want? To find out who you were, and get back being that glorious old butcher?

Reflect on your misbehaviour.

• The Butler gave you another chance. Kill your darling. But you didn't - you spent the night tied up, playing out a farce as a wriggling, squirming slug. Humiliating. You can be so much more than that screaming heap. Come back to yourself.

The Urge Walkthrough

• The Dark Urge has an impulse to maim and kill, and sometimes you can't control it.
• You gain "Split-Splatter" advantage when lobotomising Us.
• During your first interaction with Gale, Dark Urge can cut off his hand by selecting the "Fantasize about hacking off the hand." dialogue option.
• If you talk to the squirrel near the Druid Grove elevator, you will just kill it.
• If you inspired Alfira and let her stay at your camp, she will be dead at night. Scleritas Fel will appear after Alfira's death, and starts Dark Urge's personal quest The Urge.
• The Dark Urge can take advantage of Pandirna being secluded and paralyzed to murder her.
• The Dark Urge can choose to torture the bird that Nettie is curing.
• If side with goblins and romance Minthara, you can snap her neck after your character sleeps with her.
• When you find a Moonlantern to keep yourself protected in the Shadow-Cursed Lands, you'll realize that there's a pixie trapped inside. You can decide to crush her after she's freed.
• If you unleash your urge and kill Isobel the Cleric, the ward that protects Last Light Inn will fail. Killing everyone there and fail lots of quests.
• If you allow Shadowheart to kill Nightsong, the ward will also fail and kill Jaheira and Isobel the Cleric off-screen. This will count to satisfy the urge.
• If you fail to control your Slayer Form, you may kill your Lover.

 How to unlock The Urge

• Events are multiple and random. Instances will be listed as they go.

The Urge Rewards

• The Deathstalker Mantle for killing Alfira.
• The Slayer Form for killing Isobel, The Cleric in the Last Light Inn.
