Shiny Key is a Quest Item and Item in Baldur's Gate 3. Some items can be consumed granting various effects like buffing the Character or restoring HP, while other can be used to interact with the environment or provide Lore about Baldur's Gate 3 world.

Shiny Key Information

Shiny Key opens the Shiny Chest. This chest is on the pillars near the bird's nest. The chest is too high and too far away to reach with a simple jump, so you need Misty Step. Some spells can push the chest to the ground, others will only break the chest and its contents. If you don't have Misty Step, you have to jump from where Arron is, then jump closer, and build a box stairs (right click and "Climb on" the box stairs) to reach the Shiny Chest.

Mage Hand can also be cast at the top of the pillar. Proceed moving the chest using standard item movement to send the chest to a nearby location on the ground.

It contains 24 Gold, Basic Magic Scroll (useless) and Bloodstone.

you can also use the druids wild shape to turn into a giantbadger and use the burrow ability to reach the chest.
