Greatswords in Baldur's Gate 3 are pieces of equipment that are used to inflict damage against hostile characters such as Enemies and Bosses. Greatswords are Two-Handed Martial Weapons in BG3 that can only be two-handed, dealing 2-12 Damage without enchantments. They have a range of 1.5m, and they deal Slashing Damage, though some special Greatswords also deal another type of Damage as well.
Many Greatswords have unique properties, so you should read carefully what these do, and many also have Weapon Actions that can only be used if you are Proficient with Greatswords in BG3. These Weapon Actions are Pommel Strike, Lacerate, and Cleave.

It's weird that literally none of the heavy weapons ACTUALLY have the "heavy" property. Light weapons do, heavy Xbows are called....well Heavy Crossbows, but not one has the icon for it. Do we just assume if it aint light it's heavy? Really odd.

Isn't there also a greatsword with a special Fire-y line-AOE?

So I just got to the Githyanki ambush in the Risen Road, act 1, and after inspecting the big bad space frog noticed that his weapon was giving him some peculiar abilities. I came up with the idea to cast invisibility on my cleric and have her sneak up behind him and cast Command to drop his weapon, which took a solid dozen tries since he had advantage towards wisdom saves. After succeeding the entire group turns on you, he runs away without picking up his sword, and his dragon kinda just chills there, not sure how that scene is supposed to play out normally.
Turns out he's packing a +3 legendary greatsword with three unique abilities. Beyond the standard Cleave, Lacerate, and Pommel Strike, it can also use the Soulbreaker special attack once per short rest dealing weapon damage + 3 psychic with a chance to stun for two rounds. Additionally, when held by a Gith, it deals an extra 1d6 psychic with every swing, and grants them advantage on all three mental saving throws, resistance to psychic damage, and immunity to charm. Needless to say it's probably omegabusted on Lae'zel at this stage of the game, but I've opted to save her for another run. Might have to roll a Gith myself and see just how absurdly this thing breaks the early game over it's knee!

There is another normal greatsword model, that you can find at the Toll Post. It kind of looks like Ice from AGOT.
Since they don't have heavy tag, can we have two at the same time with Dual Wielder feat ?
