Wood Elf is a Subrace of Elf in Baldur's Gate 3. Wood Elves start out with the ability to blend in with their surroundings. While creating your Character in Baldur's Gate 3, you can choose between 11 different types of races. Each of them has their special characteristics and some of them have Sub-Races which provide different Features and Traits.
- BG3 Full Game Note: In the full launch of Baldur's Gate 3, Ability Score Points for Races that were present in Early Access are removed. And instead, Ability Score Points in the full game correspond with the Class players will choose.
Wood elves spend their reclusive lives in Faerun's forests. Decades of training in archery and camouflage are enhanced by an otherworldly swiftness.
Wood Elf Features in Baldur's Gate 3
- Fleet of Foot:
Move up to 
10.5m per turn. - Mask of the Wild: Proficiency in Stealth.
BG3 Elf Features
- Darkvision:
See in the dark up to 12m. - Keen Senses: Proficiency in Perception.
- Fey Ancestry:
Advantage on Saving Throws against being 
Charmed, and magic can’t put them to sleep. - Elven Weapon Training: Proficiency in Longsword, Shortsword, Longbow and Shortbow.
Wood Elf Tips & Notes
- During Early Access, the Wood Elf subrace used to feature +2 Dexterity and +1 Wisdom. This has been changed in the full launch of BG3 and the Ability Score points are now associated with the Class that players will choose.

AnonymousAnyone else looking at the bonuses to this particular elf and thinking. "Everything about this is good". But it doesn't have a beard option so you opt for the half elf

In fullrelease they also get hide and one other profiency (nature or animal handling...I forgot) which are not listed in the race select

Can you use a weapon that is profiency by race but not it's class? Like Longsword Druid?
So I just got Halsin, and at level 8 he seems to come with Healing Word, Thunderwave, Misty Step and Call Lightning granted through being a wood elf rather than his default druid.
