Obviously low damage, but situationally useful when fighting 1 single tough enemy, where giving disadvantage is more like giving the whole "enemy round" disadvantage, (at the cost of 3 less average damage than firebolt, per tier, but also likely better chance to hit, as int save is usually better than attack roll)

Give to an enchantment wizard to make it a "2d4" that gives 2 targets disadvantage on next attack, which is quite good (even with lower CHA score)

Imagine a full bully play through. Where the only damage you and your companions do is via Voice attacks.
Literally bullies people to commit suicide.
Form what I hear, each orgin character has unique voice line so it would be fun.

Orgin characters (except Dark Urge) have unique voicelines for this :)

band of the mystic scoundrel allows you to use it as a bonus action, making it quite strong.

i'm looking at reclassing to bard and this spell isn't showing that it does ANY damage and I was wondering how it could be so bad... is my game just bugging out not showing it or did it truly get nerfed?

synergies with CIRCLET OF MENTAL ANGUISH in a weird way, with the circlet the cantrip becomes a self healing spell as well, however (and heres the weird wonky part) it heals the opponent if it misses
